Rapporté par `Umar : Si ce n’était pas pour les autres musulmans (c’est-à-dire les générations futures), je répartirais les terres de tous les villages que les musulmans pourraient conquérir (entre les combattants), comme le Prophète (ﷺ) a réparti les terres de Khaybar

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ لَوْلاَ آخِرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا فُتِحَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ قَرْيَةٌ إِلاَّ قَسَمْتُهَا، كَمَا قَسَمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَيْبَرَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Umar:But for the other Muslims (i.e. coming generations) I would divide (the land of) whatever villages the Muslims might conquer (among the fighters), as the Prophet (ﷺ) divided (the land of) Khaibar

مجھ سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابن مہدی نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے امام مالک بن انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ‘ ان سے زید بن اسلم نے ‘ ان سے ان کے والد نے کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا اگر بعد میں آنے والے مسلمانوں کا خیال نہ ہوتا تو جو بستی بھی میرے دور میں فتح ہوتی ‘ میں اسے اسی طرح تقسیم کر دیتا جس طرح نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیبر کی تقسیم کر دی تھی۔
