Hadith 3875 — Livre 63: Merits of the Helpers in Madinah (Ansaar)

Rapporté par `Abdullah : Nous avions l’habitude de saluer le Prophète (ﷺ) pendant qu’il priait, et il nous répondait. Mais quand nous sommes revenus de chez Najashi (le roi d’Éthiopie), nous l’avons salué (alors qu’il priait) et il ne nous a pas répondu. Nous avons dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Avant, nous te saluions et tu nous répondais. » Il a dit : « En vérité, l’esprit est occupé et absorbé par des choses plus importantes pendant la prière. » (C’est pourquoi on ne peut pas répondre au salut pendant la prière)

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ يُصَلِّي فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا، فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّجَاشِيِّ سَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْنَا، فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ فَتَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا قَالَ " إِنَّ فِي الصَّلاَةِ شُغْلاً ". فَقُلْتُ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ أَنْتَ قَالَ أَرُدُّ فِي نَفْسِي.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah:We used to greet the Prophet (ﷺ) while he used to be in prayers, and he used to reply to our greetings. But when we came back from Najashi (the King of Ethiopia) we greeted him (while he was praying) and he did not reply to us. We said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We used to greet you in the past and you used to reply to us." He said, "Verily The Mind is occupied and busy with more important matter during the prayer." (So one cannot return One's greetings)
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے یحییٰ بن حماد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سلیمان نے، ان سے ابراہیم نے، ان سے علقمہ نے اور ان سے عبداللہ نے بیان کیا کہ ( ابتداء اسلام میں ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز پڑھتے ہوتے اور ہم آپ کو سلام کرتے تو آپ نماز ہی میں جواب عنایت فرماتے تھے۔ لیکن جب ہم نجاشی کے ملک حبشہ سے واپس ( مدینہ ) آئے اور ہم نے ( نماز پڑھتے میں ) آپ کو سلام کیا تو آپ نے جواب نہیں دیا۔ نماز کے بعد ہم نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم پہلے آپ کو سلام کرتے تھے تو آپ نماز ہی میں جواب عنایت فرمایا کرتے تھے؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر فرمایا کہ ہاں نماز میں آدمی کو دوسرا شغل ہوتا ہے۔ سلیمان اعمش نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ابراہیم نخعی سے پوچھا ایسے موقعہ پر آپ کیا کرتے ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں دل میں جواب دے دیتا ہوں۔
