Hadith 3743 — Livre 62: Companions of the Prophet
كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Ibrahim : 'Alqama est allé au Sham et, en entrant dans la mosquée, il a dit : « Ô Allah ! Accorde-moi un compagnon pieux. » Il s’est donc assis avec Abu Ad-Darda. Abu Ad-Darda lui a demandé : « D’où viens-tu ? » 'Alqama a répondu : « Je viens des gens de Kufa. » Abu Ad-Darda a dit : « N’y a-t-il pas parmi vous le Gardien du secret que personne d’autre ne connaît, c’est-à-dire Hudhaifa ? » Alqama a répondu : « Oui. » Puis Abu Ad-Darda a ajouté : « N’y a-t-il pas parmi vous celui qu’Allah a protégé du diable grâce à l’invocation de Son Prophète, à savoir `Ammar ? » Alqama a répondu oui. Abu Ad-Darda a dit : « N’y a-t-il pas parmi vous celui qui porte le siwak (ou le secret) du Prophète (ﷺ), c’est-à-dire `Abdullah bin Massud ? » Alqama a répondu oui. Puis Abu Ad-Darda a demandé : « Comment `Abdullah bin Masud récitait-il la sourate qui commence par : ‘Par la nuit quand elle enveloppe ; par le jour quand il brille ?’ (92.1-2) » Alqama a dit : « Et par le mâle et la femelle. » Abu Ad-Darda a alors dit : « Ces gens du Sham ont essayé de me faire accepter autre chose que ce que j’ai entendu du Prophète. »

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ ذَهَبَ عَلْقَمَةُ إِلَى الشَّأْمِ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا. فَجَلَسَ إِلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ قَالَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ. قَالَ أَلَيْسَ فِيكُمْ ـ أَوْ مِنْكُمْ ـ صَاحِبُ السِّرِّ الَّذِي لاَ يَعْلَمُهُ غَيْرُهُ يَعْنِي حُذَيْفَةَ. قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى. قَالَ أَلَيْسَ فِيكُمُ ـ أَوْ مِنْكُمُ ـ الَّذِي أَجَارَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، يَعْنِي عَمَّارًا. قُلْتُ بَلَى. قَالَ أَلَيْسَ فِيكُمْ ـ أَوْ مِنْكُمْ ـ صَاحِبُ السِّوَاكِ أَوِ السِّرَارِ قَالَ بَلَى. قَالَ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَقْرَأُ {وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى * وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى} قُلْتُ {وَالذَّكَرِ وَالأُنْثَى}. قَالَ مَا زَالَ بِي هَؤُلاَءِ حَتَّى كَادُوا يَسْتَنْزِلُونِي عَنْ شَىْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibrahim:'Alqama went to Sham and when he entered the mosque, he said, "O Allah ! Bless me with a pious companion." So he sat with Abu Ad-Darda. Abu Ad-Darda' asked him, "Where are you from?" 'Alqama replied, "From the people of Kufa." Abu Ad-Darda said, "Isn't there amongst you the Keeper of the secret which nobody else knows i.e. Hudhaifa?" Al-qama said, "Yes." Then Abu Ad-Darda further said, "Isn't there amongst you the person whom Allah gave Refuge from Satan through the invocation of His Prophet namely `Ammar?" Alqama replied in the affirmative Abu Ad-Darda said, "Isn't there amongst you the person who carries the Siwak (or the Secret) (i.e. of the Prophet (ﷺ) namely `Abdullah bin Mas'ud)?" Alqama said, "Yes." Then Abu Ad-Darda asked, "How (Abdullah bin Masud) used to recite the Sura starting with: "By the night as it envelopes; By the day as it appears in brightness?" (92.1-2). Alqama said "And by male and female." Abu Ad-Darda then said, "These people (of Sham) tried hard to make me accept something other than what I had heard from the Prophet

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے مغیرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابراہیم نے بیان کیا کہ علقمہ رضی اللہ عنہ شام میں تشریف لے گئے اور مسجد میں جا کر یہ دعا کی۔ اے اللہ! مجھے ایک نیک ساتھی عطا فرما، چنانچہ آپ کو ابودرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کی صحبت نصیب ہوئی۔ ابودرداء رضی اللہ عنہ نے دریافت کیا: تمہارا تعلق کہاں سے ہے؟ عرض کیا کہ کوفہ سے، اس پر انہوں نے کہا: کیا تمہارے یہاں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے راز دار نہیں ہیں کہ ان رازوں کو ان کے سوا اور کوئی نہیں جانتا؟ ( ان کی مراد ابوحذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے تھی ) انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عرض کیا جی ہاں موجود ہیں، پھر انہوں نے کہا کیا تم میں وہ شخص نہیں ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی کی زبانی شیطان سے اپنی پناہ دی تھی۔ ان کی مراد عمار رضی اللہ عنہ سے تھی۔ میں نے عرض کیا کہ جی ہاں وہ بھی موجود ہیں، اس کے بعد انہوں نے دریافت کیا کہ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ آیت «والليل إذا يغشى * والنهار إذا تجلى» کی قرآت کس طرح کرتے تھے؟ میں نے کہا کہ وہ ( «وما خلق» کے حذف کے ساتھ ) «والذكر والأنثى» پڑھا کرتے تھے۔ اس پر انہوں نے کہا یہ شام والے ہمیشہ اس کوشش میں رہے کہ اس آیت کی تلاوت کو جس طرح میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا تھا اس سے مجھے ہٹا دیں۔
