Rapporté par Abou Hourayra : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Donnez-vous mon nom, mais ne prenez pas ma kunya. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي، وَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي "
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:Abu-l-Qasim said, "Name yourselves after me, but do not call yourselves by my Kuniya

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب نے، ان سے ابن سیرین نے بیان کیا اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، آپ نے بیان کیا کہ ابوالقاسم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”میرے نام پر نام رکھو لیکن میری کنیت نہ رکھا کرو۔“
