Hadith 3126 — Livre 57: One-fifth of Booty to the Cause of Allah (Khumus)

Rapporté par Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari : Un bédouin a demandé au Prophète : « Un homme peut combattre pour le butin, un autre pour être reconnu par les gens, et un troisième pour montrer sa bravoure ; lequel de ceux-là combat dans la voie d'Allah ? » Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Celui qui combat pour que la parole d'Allah (c'est-à-dire l'Islam) soit supérieure, combat dans la voie d'Allah. »

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيُّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ لِلْمَغْنَمِ، وَالرَّجُلُ يُقَاتِلُ لِيُذْكَرَ، وَيُقَاتِلُ لِيُرَى مَكَانُهُ، مَنْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ " مَنْ قَاتَلَ لِتَكُونَ كَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا فَهْوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari:A bedouin asked the Prophet, "A man may fight for the sake of booty, and another may fight so that he may be mentioned by the people, and a third may fight to show his position (i.e. bravery); which of these is regarded as fighting in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who fights so that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights for Allah's Cause

ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے غندر نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے ‘ ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے ابووائل سے سنا ‘ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک اعرابی ( لاحق بن ضمیرہ باہلی ) نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا ایک شخص ہے جو غنیمت حاصل کرنے کے لیے جہاد میں شریک ہوا ‘ ایک شخص ہے جو اس لیے شرکت کرتا ہے کہ اس کی بہادری کے چرچے زبانوں پر آ جائیں ‘ ایک شخص اس لیے لڑتا ہے کہ اس کی دھاک بیٹھ جائے ‘ تو ان میں سے اللہ کے راستے میں کون سا ہو گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جو شخص جنگ میں شرکت اس لیے کرے تاکہ اللہ کا کلمہ ( دین ) ہی بلند رہے۔ فقط وہی اللہ کے راستے میں ہے۔
