Rapporté par Aisha : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est décédé, et il n’y avait rien dans ma maison qu’un être vivant pouvait manger, à part un peu d’orge posé sur une étagère. J’en ai mangé pendant longtemps et je le mesurais, puis (au bout d’un moment) il a été épuisé

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَا فِي بَيْتِي مِنْ شَىْءٍ يَأْكُلُهُ ذُو كَبِدٍ، إِلاَّ شَطْرُ شَعِيرٍ فِي رَفٍّ لِي، فَأَكَلْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَىَّ، فَكِلْتُهُ فَفَنِيَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died, and there was nothing in my house that a living being could eat, except some barley Lying on a shelf. So, I ate of it for a long period and measured it, and (after a short period) it was consumed

ہم سے عبداللہ بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے ‘ کہا ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے ‘ ان سے ان کے والد نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہوئی تو میرے گھر میں آدھے وسق جو کے سوا جو ایک طاق میں رکھے ہوئے تھے اور کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں تھی جو کسی جگر والے ( جاندار ) کی خوراک بن سکتی۔ میں اسی میں سے کھاتی رہی اور بہت دن گزر گئے۔ پھر میں نے اس میں سے ناپ کر نکالنا شروع کیا تو وہ جلدی ختم ہو گئے۔
