Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Un des fils d’Abu Talha est tombé malade et est décédé alors qu’Abu Talha n’était pas à la maison. Quand sa femme a vu qu’il était mort, elle l’a préparé (lavé et enveloppé) et l’a placé dans un endroit de la maison. Quand Abu Talha est rentré, il a demandé : « Comment va l’enfant ? » Elle a répondu : « L’enfant est calme et j’espère qu’il est en paix. » Abu Talha a cru qu’elle disait la vérité. Il a passé la nuit et, le matin, après s’être lavé, alors qu’il voulait sortir, elle lui a annoncé que leur fils était décédé. Abu Talha a accompli la prière du matin avec le Prophète (ﷺ) et l’a informé de ce qui leur était arrivé. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Qu’Allah vous bénisse pour cette nuit. » (C’est-à-dire : qu’Allah vous accorde une bonne descendance.) Sufyan a dit : « Un des Ansar a dit : ‘Ils (Abu Talha et sa femme) ont eu neuf fils, et tous ont appris le Coran par cœur.’ »

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ اشْتَكَى ابْنٌ لأَبِي طَلْحَةَ ـ قَالَ ـ فَمَاتَ وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ خَارِجٌ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ هَيَّأَتْ شَيْئًا وَنَحَّتْهُ فِي جَانِبِ الْبَيْتِ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ قَالَ كَيْفَ الْغُلاَمُ قَالَتْ قَدْ هَدَأَتْ نَفْسُهُ، وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اسْتَرَاحَ. وَظَنَّ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَنَّهَا صَادِقَةٌ، قَالَ فَبَاتَ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ اغْتَسَلَ، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ، أَعْلَمَتْهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ، فَصَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَا كَانَ مِنْهُمَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ لَكُمَا فِي لَيْلَتِكُمَا ". قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَرَأَيْتُ لَهُمَا تِسْعَةَ أَوْلاَدٍ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas bin Malik:One of the sons of Abu Talha became sick and died and Abu Talha at that time was not at home. When his wife saw that he was dead, she prepared him (washed and shrouded him) and placed him somewhere in the house. When Abu Talha came, he asked, "How is the boy?" She said, "The child is quiet and I hope he is in peace." Abu Talha thought that she had spoken the truth. Abu Talha passed the night and in the morning took a bath and when he intended to go out, she told him that his son had died, Abu Talha offered the (morning) prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed the Prophet (ﷺ) of what happened to them. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "May Allah bless you concerning your night. (That is, may Allah bless you with good offspring)." Sufyan said, "One of the Ansar said, 'They (i.e. Abu Talha and his wife) had nine sons and all of them became reciters of the Qur'an (by heart)

ہم سے بشر بن حکم نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہ انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ‘ آپ نے بتلایا کہ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا ایک بچہ بیمار ہو گیا انہوں نے کہا کہ اس کا انتقال بھی ہو گیا۔ اس وقت ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ گھر میں موجود نہ تھے۔ ان کی بیوی ( ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ) نے جب دیکھا کہ بچے کا انتقال ہو گیا تو انہوں نے کچھ کھانا تیار کیا اور بچے کو گھر کے ایک کونے میں لٹا دیا۔ جب ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے پوچھا کہ بچے کی طبیعت کیسی ہے؟ ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اسے آرام مل گیا ہے اور میرا خیال ہے کہ اب وہ آرام ہی کر رہا ہو گا۔ ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے سمجھا کہ وہ صحیح کہہ رہی ہیں۔ ( اب بچہ اچھا ہے ) پھر ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس رات گزاری اور جب صبح ہوئی تو غسل کیا لیکن جب باہر جانے کا ارادہ کیا تو بیوی ( ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ) نے اطلاع دی کہ بچے کا انتقال ہو چکا ہے۔ پھر انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی اور آپ سے ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا کا حال بیان کیا۔ اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ شاید اللہ تعالیٰ تم دونوں کو اس رات میں برکت عطا فرمائے گا۔ سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا کہ انصار کے ایک شخص نے بتایا کہ میں نے ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی انہیں بیوی سے نو بیٹے دیکھے جو سب کے سب قرآن کے عالم تھے۔
