Rapporté par `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada : Mon père a dit : Le Prophète ﷺ récitait Al-Fatiha avec deux autres sourates pendant les deux premières unités de prière du Zuhr : une longue dans la première unité et une plus courte dans la seconde, et parfois on pouvait entendre quelques versets. Pour la prière de l’Asr, le Prophète ﷺ récitait Al-Fatiha et deux autres sourates dans les deux premières unités et il allongeait la première unité. Il faisait aussi la première unité de la prière du Fajr plus longue que la seconde

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ، يُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى، وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ، وَيُسْمِعُ الآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعَصْرِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ، وَكَانَ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى، وَكَانَ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى مِنْ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ، وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada:My father said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) in Zuhr prayers used to recite Al-Fatiha along with two other Suras in the first two rak`at: a long one in the first rak`a and a shorter (Sura) in the second, and at times the verses were audible. In the `Asr prayer the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite Al-Fatiha and two more Suras in the first two rak`at and used to prolong the first rak`a. And he used to prolong the first rak`a of the Fajr prayer and shorten the second

ہم سے ابونعیم فضل بن دکین نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شیبان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن ابی قتادہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے باپ ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورۃ فاتحہ اور ہر رکعت میں ایک ایک سورت پڑھتے تھے، ان میں بھی قرآت کرتے تھے لیکن آخری دو رکعتیں ہلکی پڑھاتے تھے کبھی کبھی ہم کو بھی کوئی آیت سنا دیا کرتے تھے۔ عصر میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سورۃ فاتحہ اور سورتیں پڑھتے تھے، اس کی بھی پہلی دو رکعتیں لمبی پڑھتے۔ اسی طرح صبح کی نماز کی پہلی رکعت لمبی کرتے اور دوسری ہلکی۔
