Hadith 758 — Livre 10: Call to Prayers (Adhaan)
كتاب الأذان
Rapporté par Jabir bin Samura : Sa‘d a dit : « Je priais avec eux comme le faisait le Messager d’Allah ﷺ (la prière du Zuhr et du ‘Asr) sans rien diminuer. Je prolongeais les deux premières rak‘a et je raccourcissais les deux dernières. » ‘Umar a dit à Sa‘d : « C’est ce que nous pensions de toi. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ سَعْدٌ كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي بِهِمْ صَلاَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَتَىِ الْعَشِيِّ لاَ أَخْرِمُ عَنْهَا، أَرْكُدُ فِي الأُولَيَيْنِ وَأَحْذِفُ فِي الأُخْرَيَيْنِ. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ ذَلِكَ الظَّنُّ بِكَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin Samura:Sa`d said, "I used to pray with them a prayer similar to that of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (the prayer of Zuhr and `Asr) reducing nothing from them. I used to prolong the first two rak`at and shorten the last two rak`at." `Umar said to Sa`d "This was what we thought about you
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے ابوالنعمان محمد بن فضل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابوعوانہ وضاح یشکری نے عبدالملک بن عمیر سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے جابر بن سمرہ سے کہ سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا میں ان ( کوفہ والوں ) کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرح نماز پڑھاتا تھا۔ ظہر اور عصر کی دونوں نمازیں، کسی قسم کا نقص ان میں نہیں چھوڑتا تھا۔ پہلی دو رکعتیں لمبی پڑھتا اور دوسری دو رکعتیں ہلکی۔ تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ مجھ کو تم سے امید بھی یہی تھی۔
