كتاب الأذان
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Si l’un de vous dirige la prière pour les gens, il doit la raccourcir, car il y a parmi eux des faibles, des malades et des personnes âgées ; et si quelqu’un prie seul, il peut la prolonger autant qu’il le souhaite. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ لِلنَّاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ، فَإِنَّ مِنْهُمُ الضَّعِيفَ وَالسَّقِيمَ وَالْكَبِيرَ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ لِنَفْسِهِ فَلْيُطَوِّلْ مَا شَاءَ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If anyone of you leads the people in the prayer, he should shorten it for amongst them are the weak, the sick and the old; and if anyone among you prays alone then he may prolong (the prayer) as much as he wishes
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں امام مالک نے ابوالزناد سے خبر دی، انہوں نے اعرج سے، انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، جب کوئی تم میں سے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائے تو تخفیف کرے کیونکہ جماعت میں ضعیف بیمار اور بوڑھے ( سب ہی ) ہوتے ہیں، لیکن اکیلا پڑھے تو جس قدر جی چاہے طول دے سکتا ہے۔
