Rapporté par Ibn ‘Awn : J’étais prisonnier en Syrie. Un homme m’a appelé derrière moi. Je me suis retourné et j’ai vu que c’était Raja b. Haiwah. Il m’a dit : « Abu ‘Awn, qu’est-ce que les gens racontent à propos d’al-Hasan ? » J’ai répondu : « Ils mentent beaucoup sur al-Hasan. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسِيرُ بِالشَّامِ فَنَادَانِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ خَلْفِي فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ حَيْوَةَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَوْنٍ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُونَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنَّهُمْ يَكْذِبُونَ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ كَثِيرًا .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn ‘Awn said:I was a prisoner in Syria. A man called me from behind. I turned towards him and suddenly found that it was Raja b. Haiwah. He said: Abu ‘Awn, what is this that the people are telling about al-Hasan? I said: They are much lying to al-Hasan

ابن عون کہتے ہیں کہ میں ملک شام میں چل رہا تھا تو ایک شخص نے پیچھے سے مجھے پکارا جب میں مڑا تو دیکھا رجاء بن حیوہ ہیں، انہوں نے کہا: اے ابوعون! یہ کیا ہے جو لوگ حسن کے بارے میں ذکر کرتے ہیں؟ میں نے کہا: لوگ حسن پر بہت زیادہ جھوٹ باندھتے ہیں۱؎۔
