Hadith 2146 — Livre 12: Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah)
كتاب النكاح
Iyas ibn Abdullah ibn Abu Dhubab رضي الله عنه a rapporté que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Ne frappez pas les servantes d’Allah. » Mais quand Umar رضي الله عنه est venu voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et a dit : « Les femmes deviennent hardies envers leurs maris », il (le Prophète) a permis de les frapper. Ensuite, beaucoup de femmes sont venues auprès de la famille du Messager d’Allah ﷺ pour se plaindre de leurs maris. Alors le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Beaucoup de femmes sont venues se plaindre auprès de la famille de Muhammad à cause de leurs maris. Ceux-là ne sont pas les meilleurs parmi vous. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، - قَالَ ابْنُ السَّرْحِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَضْرِبُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ " . فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ذَئِرْنَ النِّسَاءُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ . فَرَخَّصَ فِي ضَرْبِهِنَّ فَأَطَافَ بِآلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْكُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَقَدْ طَافَ بِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْكُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ لَيْسَ أُولَئِكَ بِخِيَارِكُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Iyas ibn Abdullah ibn Abu Dhubab reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:Do not beat Allah's handmaidens, but when Umar came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Women have become emboldened towards their husbands, he (the Prophet) gave permission to beat them. Then many women came round the family of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) complaining against their husbands. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Many women have gone round Muhammad's family complaining against their husbands. They are not the best among you
Traduction en ourdou
ایاس بن عبداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ کی بندیوں کو نہ مارو ، چنانچہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور کہنے لگے: ( آپ کے اس فرمان کے بعد ) عورتیں اپنے شوہروں پر دلیر ہو گئی ہیں، چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں مارنے اور تادیب کی رخصت دے دی، پھر عورتیں اپنے شوہروں کی شکایتیں لے کر ازواج مطہرات کے پاس پہنچنے لگیں، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بہت سی عورتیں اپنے شوہروں کی شکایتیں لے کر محمد کے گھر والوں کے پاس پہنچ رہی ہیں، یہ ( مار پیٹ کرنے والے ) لوگ تم میں بہترین لوگ نہیں ہیں ۔
