Rapporté par une femme des Banu Ghifar : Umayyah, fille d’Abu Salt, a rapporté qu’une femme des Banu Ghifar, dont le nom m’a été mentionné, a dit : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a fait monter derrière lui à l’arrière de la selle du chameau. Par Allah, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est descendu le matin, il a fait agenouiller son chameau et je suis descendue de la selle. Il y avait une tache de sang dessus, c’était ma première menstruation. Je suis restée près du chameau, honteuse. Quand le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a vu ce qui m’était arrivé et a vu le sang, il a dit : « Peut-être as-tu tes règles ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a alors dit : « Mets-toi à l’aise (c’est-à-dire attache un tissu pour stopper le saignement), puis prends un récipient d’eau, mets-y du sel, et lave le sang à l’arrière de la selle, puis remonte sur ta monture. » Quand le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a conquis Khaybar, il nous a donné une part du butin. Chaque fois que cette femme se purifiait de ses règles, elle mettait du sel dans l’eau. Et à sa mort, elle a laissé comme testament qu’on mette du sel dans l’eau pour la laver

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّازِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ - عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ قَدْ سَمَّاهَا لِي قَالَتْ أَرْدَفَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى حَقِيبَةِ رَحْلِهِ - قَالَتْ - فَوَاللَّهِ لَمْ يَزَلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى الصُّبْحِ فَأَنَاخَ وَنَزَلْتُ عَنْ حَقِيبَةِ رَحْلِهِ فَإِذَا بِهَا دَمٌ مِنِّي فَكَانَتْ أَوَّلَ حَيْضَةٍ حِضْتُهَا - قَالَتْ - فَتَقَبَّضْتُ إِلَى النَّاقَةِ وَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا بِي وَرَأَى الدَّمَ قَالَ " مَا لَكِ لَعَلَّكِ نُفِسْتِ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " فَأَصْلِحِي مِنْ نَفْسِكِ ثُمَّ خُذِي إِنَاءً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَاطْرَحِي فِيهِ مِلْحًا ثُمَّ اغْسِلِي مَا أَصَابَ الْحَقِيبَةَ مِنَ الدَّمِ ثُمَّ عُودِي لِمَرْكَبِكِ " . قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَيْبَرَ رَضَخَ لَنَا مِنَ الْفَىْءِ - قَالَتْ - وَكَانَتْ لاَ تَطَّهَّرُ مِنْ حَيْضَةٍ إِلاَّ جَعَلَتْ فِي طَهُورِهَا مِلْحًا وَأَوْصَتْ بِهِ أَنْ يُجْعَلَ فِي غُسْلِهَا حِينَ مَاتَتْ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Woman of Banu Ghifar: Umayyah, daughter of AbusSalt, quoted a certain woman of Banu Ghifar, whose name was mentioned to me, as saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made me ride behind him on the rear of the camel saddle. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got down in the morning. He made his camel kneel down and I came down from the back of his saddle. There was a mark of blood on it (saddle) and that was the first menstruation that I had. I stuck to the camel and felt ashamed. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw what had happened to me and saw the blood, he said: Perhaps you are menstruating. I said: Yes. He then said: Set yourself right (i.e. tie some cloth to prevent bleeding), then take a vessel of water and put some salt in it, and then wash the blood from the back of the saddle, and then return to your mount. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) conquered Khaybar, he gave us a portion of the booty. Whenever the woman became purified from her menses, she would put salt in water. And when she died, she left a will to put salt in the water for washing her (after death)

ایک غفاری عورت رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے پیچھے اپنے کجاوے کے حقیبہ ۱؎ پر بٹھایا پھر اللہ کی قسم! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صبح تک مسلسل چلتے رہے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اونٹ بٹھا دیا، میں کجاوے کے حقیبہ پر سے اتری تو اس میں حیض کے خون کا نشان پایا، یہ میرا پہلا حیض تھا جو مجھے آیا، وہ کہتی ہیں: میں شرم کی وجہ سے اونٹنی کے پاس سمٹ گئی، جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ حال دیکھا اور خون بھی دیکھا تو فرمایا: تمہیں کیا ہوا؟ شاید حیض آ گیا ہے ، میں نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اپنے آپ کو ٹھیک کر لو ( کچھ باندھ لو تاکہ خون باہر نہ نکلے ) پھر پانی کا ایک برتن لے کر اس میں نمک ڈال لو اور حقیبہ میں لگے ہوئے خون کو دھو ڈالو، پھر اپنی سواری پر واپس آ کر بیٹھ جاؤ ۔ وہ کہتی ہیں: جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیبر کو فتح کیا تو مال فی میں سے ہمیں بھی ایک حصہ دیا۔ وہ کہتی ہیں: پھر وہ جب بھی حیض سے پاکی حاصل کرتیں تو اپنے پاکی کے پانی میں نمک ضرور ڈالتیں، اور جب ان کی وفات کا وقت آیا تو اپنے غسل کے پانی میں بھی نمک ڈالنے کی وصیت کر گئیں۔
