Rapporté par Khabbab : Nous avons émigré avec le Messager d’Allah ﷺ en cherchant l’agrément d’Allah, le Très-Haut, et ainsi notre récompense est due de la part d’Allah. Certains d’entre nous sont morts sans avoir profité de leur récompense dans ce monde, parmi eux Mus’ab bin Umair. Il a été martyrisé le jour de Uhud et nous n’avons rien trouvé pour l’envelopper sauf une Namirah ; si nous couvrions sa tête, ses pieds restaient découverts, et si nous couvrions ses pieds, sa tête restait découverte. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a dit : "Couvrez sa tête avec le tissu et mettez de l’Idhkhir sur ses pieds." Et certains d’entre nous ont vu les fruits de leurs efforts arriver à maturité et nous les récoltons. Ceci est la version rapportée par Isma’il

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الأَعْمَشَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقًا، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَبَّابٌ، قَالَ هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَبْتَغِي وَجْهَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فَوَجَبَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَلَمْ نَجِدْ شَيْئًا نُكَفِّنُهُ فِيهِ إِلاَّ نَمِرَةً كُنَّا إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رَأْسَهُ خَرَجَتْ رِجْلاَهُ وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتْ رَأْسُهُ فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ نُغَطِّيَ بِهَا رَأْسَهُ وَنَجْعَلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ إِذْخِرًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا . وَاللَّفْظُ لإِسْمَاعِيلَ .
Traduction anglaise
Khabbab said:"We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah, seeking the Face of Allah, the Most High, so our reward became due from Allah. Some of us died without enjoying anything of his reward (in this world) among them is Mus'ab bin Umair. He was matyred on the day of Uhud and we could not find anything to shroud him in except a Namirah; if we covered his head with it, his feet were uncovered, and if we covered his feet with it, his head became uncovered. The Messenger of Allah told us to cover his head with it and to put Idhkhir over his feet. And for some of us, the fruits of our labor have ripened and we are gathering them." This is the wording of Isma'il
Traduction en ourdou
خباب رضی الله عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ہجرت کی، ہم اللہ تعالیٰ کی رضا چاہ رہے تھے، اللہ تعالیٰ پر ہمارا اجر ثابت ہو گیا، پھر ہم میں سے کچھ لوگ وہ ہیں جو مر گئے ( اور ) اس اجر میں سے ( دنیا میں ) کچھ بھی نہیں چکھا، انہیں میں سے مصعب بن عمیر رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں، جو جنگ احد میں قتل کئے گئے، تو ہم نے سوائے ایک ( چھوٹی ) دھاری دار چادر کے کوئی ایسی چیز نہیں پائی جس میں انہیں کفناتے، جب ہم ان کا سر ڈھکتے تو پیر کھل جاتا، اور جب پیر ڈھکتے تو سر کھل جاتا، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ہم ان کا سر ڈھک دیں اور ان کے پیروں پہ اذخر نامی گھاس ڈال دیں، اور ہم میں سے کچھ لوگ وہ ہیں جن کے پھل پکے اور وہ اسے چن رہے ہیں ( یہ الفاظ اسماعیل کے ہیں ) ۔
