Hadith 197 — Livre 3: Prayer
كتاب الصلاة
Ali Ibn Abdel-Rahman Al Mou'awi a rapporté: «Abdallah Ibn Omar m'a vu me distraire avec des galets, alors que je priais. Ma prière achevée, il m'interdit de faire une chose pareille et me dit: «fais, ce que faisait l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah)». Je lui demandai: «Que faisait l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah)»? Il répondit: «Quand il s'asseyait, au cours de la prière, il mettait sa main droite sur sa cuisse droite eu joignant tous ses doigts sauf l'index, qu'il gardait tout droit, et sa main gauche sur sa cuisse gauche. Voilà, ce que faisait l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah)»

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَآنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَا أَعْبَثُ بِالْحَصْبَاءِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْتُ نَهَانِي وَقَالَ اصْنَعْ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ . فَقُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَقَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ كُلَّهَا وَأَشَارَ بِأَصْبُعِهِ الَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ وَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَقَالَ هَكَذَا كَانَ يَفْعَلُ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Muslim ibn Abi Maryam that AIi ibn Abd ar-Rahman al-Muawi said, "Abdullah ibn Umar saw me playing with some small pebbles in the prayer. When I finished he forbade me, saying, 'Do as the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did.' I said, 'What did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, do?' He said, 'When he sat in the prayer, he placed his right hand on his right thigh and he closed his fist and pointed his index finger, and he placed his left hand on his left thigh. That is what he used to do

علی بن عبدالرحمن کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ کو عبداللہ بن عمر نے نماز میں کنکریوں سے کھیلتا ہوا دیکھا تو جب فارغ ہوا میں نماز سے منع کیا مجھ کو اور کہا کہ کیا کر جیسے کرتے تھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میں نے کہا کیسے کرتے تھے کہا جب بیٹھتے تھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز میں تو داہنی ہتھیلی کو داہنی ران پر رکھتے تو سب انگلیوں کو بند کر لیتے اور کلمہ کی انگلی سے اشارہ کر تے اور بائیں ہتھیلی کو ران پر رکھتے اور کہا کہ اس طرح کرتے تھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ۔
