Rapporté par Ka'b ibn 'Ujra رضي الله عنه : Il entra dans la mosquée et vit Abd al-Rahman ibn Umm Hakam faire le sermon assis. Il dit alors : « Regardez ce malheureux : il fait le sermon assis, alors qu’Allah a dit : “Et quand ils voient un commerce ou un divertissement, ils s’y précipitent et te laissent debout.” »

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، قَالَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أُمِّ الْحَكَمِ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا فَقَالَ انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْخَبِيثِ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى { وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَائِمًا}
Traduction anglaise
Ka'b b. 'Ujra reported that he entered the mosque and saw Abd al-Rahman b. Umm Hakam delivering the sermon in a sitting posture. Upon this he said:Look at this wretched person; he delivers the sermon while sitting, whereas Allah said:" And when they see merchandise or sport, they break away to it and leave thee standing
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت کعب بن عجرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ مسجد میں آئے ، دیکھاکہ ( اموی والی ) عبدالرحمان بن ام حکیم بیٹھ کر خطبہ دے رہا ہے ، انھوں نے فرمایا : اس خبیث کودیکھو ، بیٹھ کر خطبہ دے رہا ہے ، جبکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا فرمان ہے : " اور جب وہ تجارت یا کوئی مشغلہ دیکھتے ہیں تو ادھر ٹوٹ پڑتے ہیں اور آپ کوکھڑا چھوڑ جاتے ہیں ۔
