كتاب صلاة المسافرين وقصرها
Rapporté par Abu Qatada, un compagnon du Messager d’Allah ﷺ : Je suis entré dans la mosquée alors que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ était assis parmi des gens, et je me suis assis avec eux. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a alors dit : « Qu’est-ce qui t’a empêché de faire deux unités de prière (nafl) avant de t’asseoir ? » J’ai répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je t’ai vu assis, ainsi que les gens autour de toi, alors je me suis assis avec vous. » Il ﷺ a alors dit : « Quand l’un d’entre vous entre dans la mosquée, qu’il ne s’asseye pas avant d’avoir accompli deux unités de prière. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ خَلْدَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسٌ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَىِ النَّاسِ - قَالَ - فَجَلَسْتُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَرْكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَجْلِسَ " . قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَأَيْتُكَ جَالِسًا وَالنَّاسُ جُلُوسٌ . قَالَ " فَإِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلاَ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى يَرْكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Qatada, a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said:I entered the mosque, when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had been sitting among people, and I also sat down among them. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: What prevented you from offering two rak'ahs (of Nafl prayer) before sitting down? I said: Messenger of Allah, I saw you sitting and people sitting (around you and I, therefore, sat in your company). He (the Holy Prophet) then said: When anyone among you enters the mosque, he should not sit till he has observed two rak'ahs
Traduction en ourdou
محمد بن یحییٰ بن حبان نے عمرو بن سلیم بن خلدہ انصاری سے اور انھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابی حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ر وایت کی ، کہا : میں مسجد میں داخل ہوا جبکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لوگوں کے درمیان تشریف فرما تھے کہا : تو میں بھی بیٹھ گیا ، اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " تمھیں بیٹھنے سے پہلے دو رکعات نماز پڑھنے سے کس چیز نے روکا ہے؟ " میں نے عرض کی : اےا للہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !میں نے آپ کو بیٹھتے دیکھا ہے اور لوگ بھی بیٹھے تھے ( اس لئے میں بھی بیٹھ گیا ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص مسجد میں آئے تو دو رکعت نماز پڑھےبغير نہ بیٹھے ۔
