كتاب صلاة المسافرين وقصرها
Rapporté par Sa'id b. Yasar رضي الله عنه : J’étais en voyage avec Ibn 'Umar sur la route de La Mecque. Sa'id raconte : Quand j’ai craint que l’aube n’arrive, je suis descendu de ma monture pour faire la prière du Witr, puis je l’ai rejoint. Ibn 'Umar m’a demandé : « Où étais-tu ? » J’ai répondu : « J’ai eu peur que l’aube n’arrive, alors je suis descendu pour faire le Witr. » 'Abdullah a dit : « N’as-tu pas un exemple à suivre dans le Messager d’Allah ﷺ ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui, par Allah. » Il a alors dit : « Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ faisait la prière du Witr sur le dos de son chameau. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسِيرُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ - قَالَ سَعِيدٌ - فَلَمَّا خَشِيتُ الصُّبْحَ نَزَلْتُ فَأَوْتَرْتُ ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ خَشِيتُ الْفَجْرَ فَنَزَلْتُ فَأَوْتَرْتُ . فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَلَيْسَ لَكَ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُسْوَةٌ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى وَاللَّهِ . قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُوتِرُ عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ .
Traduction anglaise
Sa'id b. Yasar reported:I was travelling along with Ibn 'Umar on the way to Mecca. Sa'id said: When I apprehended dawn, I dismounted (the ride) and observed Witr prayer and then again joined him. Ibn 'Umar said to me: Where were you? I said: I apprehended the appearance of dawn, so I dismounted and observed Witr prayer. Upon this 'Abdullah said: Is there not a model pattern for you in the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? I said: Yes, by Allah, and (then) he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to observe Witr prayer on the camel's back
Traduction en ourdou
ابو بکر بن عمر بن عبدالرحمان ، بن عبداللہ بن عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے سعید بن یسار سے روایت کی کہ انھوں نے کہا : میں مکہ کے راستے میں حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے ساتھ سفر کررہا تھا ۔ پھر جب مجھے صبح ہوجانے کا اندیشہ ہوا تو میں سواری سے اترا اور وتر پڑھے ، پھر میں ان سے جا ملا تو حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے مجھ سے پوچھا : تم کہاں ( رہ گئے ) تھے؟میں نے ان سے کہا : مجھے فجر ہوجانے کا اندیشہ ہوا ، اس لئے میں نے اتر کروترپڑھے ۔ تو حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : کیا تمہارے لئے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عمل میں نمونہ نہیں ہے؟میں نے کہا : کیوں نہیں ، اللہ کی قسم ہے انھوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اونٹ پر وتر پڑھتے تھے ۔
