Rapporté par Aïsha رضي الله عنها : À propos de ces paroles d’Allah, le Très-Haut et Glorieux : « Et si une femme craint de la part de son mari un mauvais traitement ou qu’il se détourne d’elle », cela a été révélé à propos d’une femme qui vivait avec un homme et peut-être qu’il ne voulait pas continuer la relation, alors qu’elle avait eu des rapports avec lui et avait eu un enfant de lui. Elle ne voulait pas être divorcée, alors elle lui disait : « Je t’autorise à vivre avec l’autre épouse. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا} قَالَتْ نَزَلَتْ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تَكُونُ عِنْدَ الرَّجُلِ فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ لاَ يَسْتَكْثِرَ مِنْهَا وَتَكُونُ لَهَا صُحْبَةٌ وَوَلَدٌ فَتَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُفَارِقَهَا فَتَقُولُ لَهُ أَنْتَ فِي حِلٍّ مِنْ شَأْنِي .
Traduction anglaise
A'isha said in connection with these words of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious:" And if a woman has reason to fear ill-treatment from her husband or that he might turn away from her" that it was revealed in case of a woman who lived with a person and perhaps he does not want to prolong (his relationship with her) whereas she has had sexual relationship with him (and as a result thereof) she got a child from him and she does not like that she should be divorced, so she says to him: I permit you to live with the other wife

ابو اسامہ نے کہا : ہمیں ہشام بن عروہ نے اپنے والد سے بیان کیا انھوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے اس ( اللہ ) عزوجل کے فرمان : " اگر کوئی عورت اپنے خاوندکی طرف سے بے رغبتی یاروگردانی کا اندیشہ محسوس کرنے کے متعلق روایت کی ( عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے ) فرمایا : " یہ ( آیت ) اس عورت کے متعلق نازل ہو ئی جو ( مدت سے ) کسی مرد کے ہاں ہو ۔ ( اسے اندیشہ ہو ) کہ شاید اب وہ اس سے ( اپنے تعلق کو ) زیادہ نہ کرے گا ۔ اور اس عورت ) کو اس کا ساتھ میسرہو اور اولاد ہو اور یہ نہ چاہے کہ وہ ( مرد ) سے چھوڑدے تو اس سے کہہ دے کہ تم میرے معاملے میں ( حقوق زوجیت سے ) بری الذمہ ہو ۔
