كتاب المساجد ومواضع الصلاة
Rapporté par Ubayy b. Ka’b رضي الله عنه : Il y avait un homme, et je ne connais personne d’autre, dont la maison était plus éloignée que la sienne de la mosquée, et il ne manquait jamais la prière en groupe. On lui a dit, ou je lui ai dit : « Si tu achetais un âne, tu pourrais le monter pendant les nuits sombres et sur le sable brûlant. » Il a répondu : « Je n’aimerais pas que ma maison soit près de la mosquée, car je veux que mes pas vers la mosquée et mon retour soient comptés. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Allah a réuni pour toi toutes ces récompenses. »

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْثَرٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ لاَ أَعْلَمُ رَجُلاً أَبْعَدَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنْهُ وَكَانَ لاَ تُخْطِئُهُ صَلاَةٌ - قَالَ - فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَوْ قُلْتُ لَهُ لَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَ حِمَارًا تَرْكَبُهُ فِي الظَّلْمَاءِ وَفِي الرَّمْضَاءِ . قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ مَنْزِلِي إِلَى جَنْبِ الْمَسْجِدِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُكْتَبَ لِي مَمْشَاىَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَرُجُوعِي إِذَا رَجَعْتُ إِلَى أَهْلِي . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قَدْ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ubayy b. Ka'b reported:There was a man, and I do not know of any other man, whose house was farther than his from the mosque and he never missed the prayer (in congregation). It was said to him or I said to him: It you were to buy a donkey you could ride upon it In the dark nights and in the burning sand. He said: I do not like my house to be situated by the side of the mosque, for I (eagerly) desire that my steps towards the mosque and back from it, should be recorded when I return to my family. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah has gathered all (rewards) for you
Traduction en ourdou
عبثر نے ہمیں خبر دی ، انھوں نے سلیمان تیمی سے ، انھوں نے ابوعثمان نہدی سے اور انھوں نے حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : ایک آدمی تھا ، میرے علم میں کوئی اور آدمی اس کی نسبت مسجد سے زیادہ فاصلے پر نہیں رہتا تھا اور اس کی کوئی نماز نہیں چوکتی تھی ، اس سے کہا گیا-یا میں نے ( اس سے ) کہا- : اگر آپ گدھا خرید لیں کہ ( رات کی ) تاریکی اور ( دوپہر کی ) گرمی میں آپ اس پر سوار ہو جایا کریں ۔ اس نے جواب دیا : مجھے یہ بات پسند نہیں ہے کہ میرا گھر مسجد کے پڑوس میں ہو ، میں چاہتا ہوں میرا مسجد تک چل کر جانا اور جب میں گھر والوں کی طرف لوٹوں تو میرا لٹنا میرے لئے لکھا جائے ۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ‘ ‘ اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ سب کچھ تمھارے لئے اکٹھا کر دیا ہے ۔ ’’
