كتاب المساجد ومواضع الصلاة
Rapporté par Al-Bara’ b. ‘Azib : J’ai prié avec l’Envoyé d’Allah ﷺ en direction de Bayt al-Maqdis pendant seize mois, jusqu’à ce que ce verset de la sourate al-Baqara soit révélé : « Où que vous soyez, tournez votre visage vers elle » (2:144). Ce verset a été révélé alors que l’Envoyé d’Allah ﷺ venait de prier. Une personne de son peuple est passée devant les Ansar qui étaient en prière, et il leur a transmis ce commandement d’Allah. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا حَتَّى نَزَلَتِ الآيَةُ الَّتِي فِي الْبَقَرَةِ { وَحَيْثُمَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ} فَنَزَلَتْ بَعْدَ مَا صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَانْطَلَقَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَمَرَّ بِنَاسٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ فَحَدَّثَهُمْ فَوَلَّوْا وُجُوهَهُمْ قِبَلَ الْبَيْتِ .
Traduction anglaise
Al-Bara' b. 'Azib reported:I said prayer with the Apostle (ﷺ) turning towards Bait-ul-Maqdis for sixteen months till this verse of Surah Baqara wis revealed:" And wherever you are turn your faces towards it" (ii. 144). This verse was revealed when the Apostle (ﷺ) had said prayer. A person amongst his people passed by the people of Ansar as they were engaged in prayer. He narrated to them (this command of Allah) and they turned their faces towards the Ka'ba
Traduction en ourdou
ابو احوص نے ابو اسحاق سے اور انہوں نے حضرت براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ سولہ ماہ تک بیت المقدس کی طرف ( رخ کر کے ) نماز پڑھی یہاں تک کہ سورہ بقرۃ کی آیت : ’’اور تم جہاں کہیں بھی ہو اپنے رخ کعبہ کی طرف کرو ۔ ‘ ‘ اتری ۔ یہ آیت اس وقت اتری جب نبی ﷺ نماز پڑھ چکے تھے ۔ لوگوں میں سے ایک آدمی ( یہ حکم سن ) چلا تو انصار کے کچھ لوگوں کے پاس سے گزرا ، وہ ( مسجد بنی حارثہ میں ، جس کا نام اس واقعے کے بعد مسجد قبلتین پڑ گیا ) نماز پڑھ رہے تھے ، اس نے انہیں یہ ( حکم ) بتایا تو انہوں نے ( اثنائے نماز ہی میں ) اپنے چہرے بیت اللہ کی طرف کر لیے ۔
