Rapporté par Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه : J’ai dit au Messager d’Allah ﷺ : « Apprends-moi une invocation que je pourrai réciter dans ma prière. » Il a répondu : « Dis : “Ô Allah, je me suis fait beaucoup de tort à moi-même. Il n’y a personne d’autre que Toi qui puisse pardonner les péchés. Accorde-moi Ton pardon, fais-moi miséricorde, car Tu es le Pardonneur, le Miséricordieux.” »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلاَتِي قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَبِيرًا - وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ كَثِيرًا - وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Bakr reported that he said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ):Teach me a supplication which I should recite in my prayer. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Recite:" O Allah, I have done great wrong to myself." According to Qutaiba (the words were: ) much (wrong) -there is none to forgive the sins but Thou only, say:" Grant me pardon from Thyself, have mercy upon me for Thou art much Forgiving and Compassionate

ابو بکر رضی اﷲ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے رسول اﷲ ﷺ سے عرض کیا یارسول اﷲ ﷺ مجھے ایک دعا سکھلائیے جس کو میں پڑھا کروں اپنی نماز میں آپ نے فرمایا یہ کہا کر یااﷲ میں نے اپنے نفس پر بڑا ظلم کیا ہے یا بہت ظلم کیا ہے اور گناہوں کو کوئی نہیں بخشتا سوا تیرے تو بخش دے مجھے اپنے پاس کی بخشش سے اور رحم کر مجھ پر تو بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔
