Hadith 6641 — Livre 45: The Book of Virtue, Enjoining Good Manners, and Joining of the Ties of Kinship

Rapporté par Abdullah b. Mas'ud : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Qui considérez-vous comme “Raqub” parmi vous ? » Ses compagnons ont répondu : « Celui qui n’a pas d’enfants (ou dont les enfants ne survivent pas). » Il a dit : « Ce n’est pas cela ; le Raqub est celui qui ne trouve pas son enfant comme précurseur (au Paradis). » Il a ensuite dit : « Qui considérez-vous comme un lutteur parmi vous ? » Nous avons dit : « Celui qui lutte avec les autres. » Il a dit : « Non, ce n’est pas lui, mais c’est celui qui se maîtrise lorsqu’il est en colère. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا تَعُدُّونَ الرَّقُوبَ فِيكُمْ " . قَالَ قُلْنَا الَّذِي لاَ يُولَدُ لَهُ . قَالَ " لَيْسَ ذَاكَ بِالرَّقُوبِ وَلَكِنَّهُ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ " فَمَا تَعُدُّونَ الصُّرَعَةَ فِيكُمْ " . قَالَ قُلْنَا الَّذِي لاَ يَصْرَعُهُ الرِّجَالُ . قَالَ " لَيْسَ بِذَلِكَ وَلَكِنَّهُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Whom do you count as" Raqub" amongst you? They (his Companions) said: One who has no children (the children are born unto him but they do not survive). Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: He is not a Raqub but Raqub is one who does not find his child as the forerunner (in Paradise). He then said: Whom do you count as a wrestler amongst you? We said: He who wrestles with persons. He said: No, it is not he but one who controls himself when in a fit of rage
Traduction en ourdou
جریر نے ہمیں اعمش سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے ابراہیم تیمی سے ، انہوں نے حارث بن سوید سے ، انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " تم لوگ اپنے خیال میں رقوب کسے شمار کرتے ہو؟ ہم نے عرض کی : جس شخص کے بچے پیدا نہ ہوتے ہوں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " یہ رقوب نہیں ہے ، بلکہ رقوب وہ شخص ہے جس نے ( آخرت میں ) کسی بچے کو آگے نہ بھیجا ہو ۔ " آپ نے فرمایا : " تم اپنے خیال میں پہلوان کسے سمجھتے ہو؟ " ہم نے کہا : جس کو لوگ پچھاڑ نہ سکیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " پہلوان وہ نہیں ہے ، بلکہ پہلوان تو وہ شخص ہے جو غصے کے وقت خود پر قابو رکھتا ہے ۔
