كتاب البر والصلة والأدب
Rapporté par Abdullah b. Mas'ud : Muhammad ﷺ a dit : « Voulez-vous que je vous informe sur la médisance ? C’est en fait le fait de rapporter des propos qui créent des divisions entre les gens. » Il a ajouté : « La personne dit la vérité jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit inscrite comme véridique, et elle ment jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit inscrite comme menteuse. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ إِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ مَا الْعَضْهُ هِيَ النَّمِيمَةُ الْقَالَةُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " . وَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ صِدِّيقًا وَيَكْذِبُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ كَذَّابًا " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported that Muhammad (ﷺ) said:Should I inform you that slandering, that is in fact a tale-carrying which creates dissension amongst people, (and) he (further) said: The person tells the truth until he is recorded as truthful, and lie tells a lie until lie is recorded as a liar
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ، کہا : محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " کیا میں تم کو یہ نہ بتاؤں کہ بدترین حرام کیا ہے؟ یہ چغلی ہے جو لوگوں کی زبان پر رواں ہو جاتی ہے ۔ " اور محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " انسان سچ بولتا رہتا ہے یہاں تک کہ ( اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاں ) وہ صدیق لکھ دیا جاتا ہے اور جھوٹ بولتا رہتا ہے حتی کہ اس کو کذاب لکھ دیا جاتا ہے ۔
