Rapporté par Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Les meilleurs de ma communauté sont ceux de la génération la plus proche de la mienne, puis ceux qui les suivent, puis ceux qui les suivent. Ensuite viendront des gens dont le témoignage précédera le serment et le serment précédera le témoignage. » Hannad n’a pas mentionné le mot « Qarn » dans son récit. Qutaiba a dit que, au lieu du mot « Qaum », c’est le mot « Aqwam » qui est utilisé

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِينَ يَلُونِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ " . لَمْ يَذْكُرْ هَنَّادٌ الْقَرْنَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ " ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ أَقْوَامٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:The best of my Umma would be those of the generation nearest to mine. Then those nearest to them, then those nearest to them, then people would come whose witness would precede the oath and the oath will precede the witness. Hannad has not made the mention of Qarn in his narration. Qutaiba said that, instead of the word Qaum, the word Aqwam has been used

قتیبہ بن سعید اور ہناد بن سری نے کہا : ہمیں ابواحوص نے منصور سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے ابراہیم بن یزید سے ، انھوں نے عبیدہ سلیمانی سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ ( بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " میر ی امت میں سے بہترین اس دور کے لوگ ہیں جو میرے ساتھ ہیں ( صحابہ ) ، پھر وہ ہیں جو ان کےساتھ ( کے دور میں ) ہوں گے ( تابعین ) ، پھر وہ جوان کے ساتھ ( کے دور میں ) ہوں گے ( تبع تابعین ) ، پھر ایسے لوگ آئیں گے کہ ان کی گواہی ان کی قسم سے پہلے ہوگی ۔ اور ان کی قسم ان کی گواہی سے پہلے ہوگی ۔ " ہناد نے اپنی حدیث میں قرن ( دور ) کا ذکر نہیں کیا ۔ اور قتیبہ نے کہا : " پھر ایسی اقوام آئیں گی ۔
