Hadith 6409 — Livre 44: The Book of the Merits of the Companions
كتاب فضائل الصحابة
Rapporté par Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : Les musulmans ne prêtaient pas attention à Abou Soufyan, ni ne s’asseyaient avec lui. Il dit au Messager d’Allah ﷺ : « Ô Messager d’Allah, accorde-moi trois choses. » Le Prophète ﷺ accepta. Il dit : « J’ai avec moi la plus belle et la meilleure des femmes, Oumm Habiba, fille d’Abou Soufyan ; épouse-la. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » Il dit encore : « Accepte que Mou‘awiya soit ton secrétaire. » Il répondit : « Oui. » Il dit enfin : « Nomme-moi chef de l’armée musulmane pour que je combatte les mécréants comme j’ai combattu les musulmans. » Il répondit : « Oui. » Abou Zoumnaïl a dit : S’il n’avait pas demandé ces trois choses au Messager d’Allah ﷺ, il ne les lui aurait jamais accordées, car il avait l’habitude d’exaucer toute demande sincère

حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَعْقِرِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ - حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ لاَ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَلاَ يُقَاعِدُونَهُ فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ثَلاَثٌ أَعْطِنِيهِنَّ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ عِنْدِي أَحْسَنُ الْعَرَبِ وَأَجْمَلُهُ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أُزَوِّجُكَهَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ تَجْعَلُهُ كَاتِبًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ . قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَتُؤَمِّرُنِي حَتَّى أُقَاتِلَ الْكُفَّارَ كَمَا كُنْتُ أُقَاتِلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ . قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ وَلَوْلاَ أَنَّهُ طَلَبَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا أَعْطَاهُ ذَلِكَ لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُسْئَلُ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn Abbas reported that the Muslims neither looked to Abu Sufyan (with respect) nor did they sit in his company. he (Abu Sufyan) said to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ):Allah's Apostle, confer upon me three things. He replied in the affirmative. He (further) said: I have with me the most handsome and the best (woman) Umm Habiba, daughter of Abu Sufyan; marry her, whereupon he said: Yes. And he again said: Accept Mu'awiya to serve as your scribe. He said: Yes. He again said: Make me the commander (of the Muslim army) so that I should fight against the unbelievers as I fought against the Muslims. He said: Yes. Abu Zumnail said: If he had not asked for these three things from Allah's Apostle (ﷺ), he would have never conferred them upon him, for it was (his habit) to accede to everybody's (earnest) request
Traduction en ourdou
عکرمہ نے کہا : ہمیں ابو زمیل نے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے کہا : مجھے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : مسلمان نہ حضرت ابو سفیان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے بات کرتے تھے نہ ان کے ساتھ بیٹھتے اٹھتے تھے ۔ اس پر انھوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کی : اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !آپ مجھے تین چیزیں عطا فر ما دیجیے ۔ ( تین چیزوں کے بارے میں میری درخواست قبول فرما لیجیے ۔ ) آپ نے جواب دیا : " ہاں ۔ " کہا میری بیٹی ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا عرب کی سب سے زیادہ حسین و جمیل خاتون ہے میں اسے آپ کی زوجیت میں دیتا ہوں ۔ آپ نے فر مایا : " ہاں ۔ " کہا : اور معاویہ ( میرابیٹا ) آپ اسے اپنے پاس حاضر رہنے والا کا تب بنا دیجیے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " ہاں ۔ " پھر کہا : آپ مجھے کسی دستے کا امیر ( بھی ) مقرر فرمائیں تا کہ جس طرح میں مسلمانوں کے خلاف لڑتا تھا اسی طرح کافروں کے خلا ف بھی جنگ کروں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " ہاں ۔ " ابو زمیل نے کہا : اگر انھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ان باتوں کا مطالبہ نہ کیا ہو تا تو آپ ( از خود ) انھیں یہ سب کچھ عطا نہ فر ما تے کیونکہ آپ سے کبھی کو ئی چیز نہیں مانگی جا تی تھی مگر آپ ( اس کے جواب میں ) " ہاں " کہتے تھے ۔
