كتاب فضائل الصحابة
Rapporté par Aïcha, l’épouse du Messager d’Allah ﷺ : Il disait : « Aucun prophète ne meurt sans qu’on lui montre sa place au Paradis, puis on lui donne le choix. » Aïcha a dit que, lorsque le Messager d’Allah ﷺ était sur le point de quitter ce monde, sa tête reposait sur sa cuisse et il a perdu connaissance trois fois. Quand il reprenait ses esprits, il fixait le plafond du regard. Puis il a dit : « Ô Allah, avec les compagnons les plus élevés ! » (c’est-à-dire avec les prophètes qui résident au plus haut degré du Paradis). (En entendant cela), je me suis dit : « Il ne va pas nous choisir » et je me suis rappelée un hadith qu’il nous avait raconté alors qu’il était en bonne santé : « Aucun prophète ne meurt sans avoir vu sa place au Paradis, puis on lui donne le choix. » Aïcha a dit : Ce furent les derniers mots que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prononcés : « Ô Allah, avec les compagnons les plus élevés. »

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَعُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، فِي رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ " إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُقْبَضْ نَبِيٌّ قَطُّ حَتَّى يَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يُخَيَّرُ " . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرَأْسُهُ عَلَى فَخِذِي غُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ فَأَشْخَصَ بَصَرَهُ إِلَى السَّقْفِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ الرَّفِيقَ الأَعْلَى " . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قُلْتُ إِذًا لاَ يَخْتَارُنَا . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَعَرَفْتُ الْحَدِيثَ الَّذِي كَانَ يُحَدِّثُنَا بِهِ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ فِي قَوْلِهِ " إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُقْبَضْ نَبِيٌّ قَطُّ حَتَّى يَرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يُخَيَّرُ " . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ آخِرُ كَلِمَةٍ تَكَلَّمَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَوْلَهُ " اللَّهُمَّ الرَّفِيقَ الأَعْلَى " .
Traduction anglaise
A'isha, the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ), reported that he used to say:Never a prophet dies in a state that he is not made to see his abode in Paradise, and then given a choice. 'A'isha said that when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was about to leave the world, his head was over her thigh and he had fallen into swoon three times. When he felt relief his eyes were fixed at the ceiling. He then said: O Allah, along with the high companions (i. e. along with the Apostles who live in the most elevated place of the Paradise). (On hearing these words), I then said (to myself) He is not going to opt us and I remembered a hadith which he had narrated to us as he was healthy and in which he said: No prophet dies until he sees his abode in Paradise, he is then given a choice. 'A'isha said: These were the last words which Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) spoke (the words are): O Allah, with companions on High
Traduction en ourdou
ابن شہاب نے کہا : مجھے سعید بن مسیب اور عروہ بن زبیر نے بہت سے اہل علم لوگوں کی مو جو دگی میں خبردی کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اہلیہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی تندرستی کے زمانے میں فرما یا کرتے تھے ۔ "" کسی نبی کی روح اس وقت تک قبض نہیں کی جا تی ۔ یہاں تک کہ اسے جنت میں اپنا مقام دکھا دیا جا تا ہے ، پھر اس کو اختیا ر دیا جا تا ہے ۔ "" حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا : جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی رحلت کا وقت آیا اور اس وقت آپ کاسر میرے زانو پر تھا ۔ آپ کچھ دیر غشی طاری رہی پھر آپ کو افاقہ ہوا تو آپ نے چھت کی طرف نگا ہیں اٹھا ئیں ، پھر فر ما یا : "" اے اللہ !رفیق اعلیٰ! "" حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا : میں نے ( دل میں ) ) کہا : اب آپ ہمیں نہیں چنیں گے ۔ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فر ما یا : اور میں نے وہ حدیث پہچان لی جو آپ ہم سے بیان فر ما یا کرتے تھے ۔ وہ آپ کےاپنے الفاظ میں بالکل صحیح تھی : کسی نبی کو اس وقت تک کبھی موت نہیں آئی یہاں تک کہ اسے جنت میں اس کا ٹھکا نا دکھایا جا تا ہے اور اسے ( موت کو قبول کرنے یا مؤخرکرانے کا ) اختیار دیا جا تا ہے ۔ "" حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا یہ فر ما ن : "" اے اللہ !رفیق اعلیٰ ! "" وہ آخری بات تھی جو آپ نے کہی ۔
