كتاب فضائل الصحابة
Rapporté par Abu Musa al-Ash’ari رضي الله عنه : Alors que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ était dans l’un des jardins de Médine, allongé sur un coussin et enfonçant un bâton dans la boue, une personne est venue demander à ouvrir la porte. Il a dit : « Ouvre-lui et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle du Paradis. » C’était Abu Bakr. J’ai ouvert la porte et lui ai annoncé la bonne nouvelle du Paradis. Puis une autre personne a demandé à entrer, il a dit : « Ouvre-lui et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle du Paradis. » Je suis parti et c’était Umar. Je lui ai ouvert et lui ai annoncé la bonne nouvelle du Paradis. Puis un autre homme a demandé à entrer, et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Ouvre-lui et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle du Paradis après qu’une épreuve l’atteindra. » Je suis allé voir, et c’était Uthman ibn Affan. J’ai ouvert la porte, lui ai annoncé la bonne nouvelle du Paradis et l’ai informé de ce que le Prophète avait dit. Il a alors dit : « Ô Allah, accorde-moi la fermeté. C’est Allah qu’il faut implorer pour l’aide. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى الْعَنَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حَائِطٍ مِنْ حَائِطِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ يَرْكُزُ بِعُودٍ مَعَهُ بَيْنَ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ إِذَا اسْتَفْتَحَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ " افْتَحْ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ " . قَالَ فَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَفَتَحْتُ لَهُ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ اسْتَفْتَحَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ " افْتَحْ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ " . قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ عُمَرُ فَفَتَحْتُ لَهُ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ اسْتَفْتَحَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ - قَالَ - فَجَلَسَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " افْتَحْ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَى بَلْوَى تَكُونُ " . قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ - قَالَ - فَفَتَحْتُ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ - قَالَ - وَقُلْتُ الَّذِي قَالَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ صَبْرًا أَوِ اللَّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Musa al-Ash'ari reported that while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was in one of the gardens of Medina, reclining against a pillow and fixing a stick in a mud, that a person came asking for the gate to be opened, whereupon he said:Open it for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise and, lo, it was Abu Bakr. I opened (the gate) for him and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then another person asked for the door to be opened, whereupon he said: Open it and give him the glad tidings of Piradise. He said: I went away and, lo, it was 'Umar. I opened it for him and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then still another man asked for the door to be opened, and thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Open it and give him the glad tidings of Paradise after a trial would afflict him. I went and, lo, it was 'Uthman b. 'Affan. 1 opened the door and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise and informed him (what the Prophet had said). Thereupon he said: O Allah, grant me steadfastness. Allah is one Whose help is to be sought

عثمان بن غیاث نے ابو عثمان نہدی سے ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : ایک دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ منورہ کے باغوں میں سے ایک باغ میں ٹیک لگائے بیٹھے ہوئے تھے آپ کے پاس جو لکڑی تھی اس ( کی نوک ) کو پانی اور مٹی کے درمیان ماررہے تھے کہ ایک شخص نے ( باغ کا دروازہ ) کھولنے کی درخواست کی ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " دروازہ کھول دو اور اس ( آنے والے ) کو جنت کی خوشخبری سنادو ۔ " ( ابو موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ) کہا : وہ ابو بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ تھے ، میں نے ان کے لئے دروازہ کھولا اور انھیں جنت کی بشارت دی ، کہا : پھر ایک اور شخص نے دروازہ کھولنے کی درخواست کی ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " دروازہ کھول دو اور اسے ( بھی ) جنت کی خوشخبری سنادو ۔ " میں گیا تو وہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ تھے ۔ میں نے ان کے لیے دروازہ کھولا اور انھیں جنت کی بشارت دی ، اس کے بعد ایک اور شخص نے دروازہ کھولنے کی درخواست کی ، کہا : تو آپ ( سیدھے ہوکر ) بیٹھ گئے ، پھر فرمایا : " دروازہ کھولو اور فتنے پر جو ( برپا ) ہوگا ، انھیں جنت کی خوشخبری دے دو ۔ " کہا : میں گیا تو وہ عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ تھے ۔ کہا : میں نے دروازہ کھولا اور انھیں جنت کی خوشخبری دی اور آپ نے جو کچھ فرمایا تھا ، انھیں بتایا ۔ انھوں نے کہا : اے اللہ صبر عطا فرمانا اور اللہ ہی ہے جس سے مدد طلب کی جاتی ہے ۔
