كتاب فضائل الصحابة
Rapporté par Abdullah رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Si je devais choisir parmi les gens de la terre quelqu’un comme ami intime, j’aurais choisi le fils d’Abu Quhafa comme ami, mais Allah a pris votre compagnon comme ami. »

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي، الْهُذَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ خَلِيلاً لاَتَّخَذْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ خَلِيلاً وَلَكِنْ صَاحِبُكُمْ خَلِيلُ اللَّهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:If I were to choose amongst the people of earth someone as my bosom friend, I would have chosen the son of Abu Quhafa as my friends but God has taken your companion as a friend
Traduction en ourdou
واصل بن حیان نے عبداللہ بن ابی ہذیل سے ، انھوں نے ابو احوص سے ، انھوں نے عبداللہ ( بن مسعود ) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ، انھوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اگر میں زمین پر رہنے والوں میں سے کسی کو خلیل بناتا تو ابو قحافہ کے بیٹے کو خلیل بناتا ، لیکن تمہارے صاحب ( رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) اللہ کے خلیل ہیں ۔
