Hadith 6126 — Livre 43: The Book of Virtues
كتاب المناقب
Rapporté par Mousa b. Talha رضي الله عنه : Moi et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ sommes passés près de gens sous des palmiers. Il a dit : « Que font ces gens ? » Ils ont répondu : « Ils font le greffage, c’est-à-dire qu’ils mettent ensemble le mâle et la femelle pour avoir plus de fruits. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Je ne pense pas que cela serve à quelque chose. » Les gens ont été informés et ils ont arrêté cette pratique. Plus tard, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a appris que la récolte avait diminué, alors il a dit : « Si cela est utile, faites-le, car ce n’était qu’une opinion personnelle. Ne suivez pas mon avis personnel ; mais quand je vous dis quelque chose de la part d’Allah, acceptez-le, car je ne mens pas sur Allah, le Très-Haut, le Glorieux. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ - وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ قُتَيْبَةَ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِقَوْمٍ عَلَى رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ فَقَالَ " مَا يَصْنَعُ هَؤُلاَءِ " . فَقَالُوا يُلَقِّحُونَهُ يَجْعَلُونَ الذَّكَرَ فِي الأُنْثَى فَيَلْقَحُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا أَظُنُّ يُغْنِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ فَأُخْبِرُوا بِذَلِكَ فَتَرَكُوهُ فَأُخْبِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " إِنْ كَانَ يَنْفَعُهُمْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَصْنَعُوهُ فَإِنِّي إِنَّمَا ظَنَنْتُ ظَنًّا فَلاَ تُؤَاخِذُونِي بِالظَّنِّ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنِ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا فَخُذُوا بِهِ فَإِنِّي لَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Traduction anglaise
Musa b. Talha reported:I and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) happened to pass by people near the date-palm trees. He (the Holy Prophet) said: What are these people doing? They said: They are grafting, i. e. they combine the male with the female (tree) and thus they yield more fruit. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I do not find it to be of any use. The people were informed about it and they abandoned this practice. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (was later) on informed (that the yield had dwindled), whereupon he said: If there is any use of it, then they should do it, for it was just a personal opinion of mine, and do not go after my personal opinion; but when I say to you anything on behalf of Allah, then do accept it, for I do not attribute lie to Allah, the Exalted and Glorious
Traduction en ourdou
موسیٰ بن طلحہ نے اپنے والد سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ کچھ لوگوں کے قریب سے گزرا جو درختوں کی چوٹیوں پر چڑھے ہو ئے تھے ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پو چھا یہ لو گ کیا کر رہے ہیں ۔ ؟ " لوگوں نے کہا : یہ گابھہ لگا رہے ہیں نر ( کھجور کا بور ) مادہ ( کھجور ) میں ڈال رہے ہیں اس طرح یہ ( درخت ) ثمر آور ہو جا تے ہیں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نےفرما یا : " میرا گمان نہیں کہ اس کا کچھ فائدہ ہو تا ہے ۔ " لوگوں نے کو یہ بات بتا دی گئی تو انھوں نے ( گابھہ لگا نے کا ) یہ عمل ترک کر دیا ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ بات بتا ئی گئی ۔ تو آپ نے فر ما یا : اگر یہ کا م انھیں فائدہ پہنچاتا ہے تو کریں ۔ میں نے تو ایک بات کا گمان کیا تھا تو گمان کے حوالے سے مجھے ذمہ دارنہ ٹھہراؤ لیکن جب میں اللہ کی طرف سے تمھا رے ساتھ بات کروں تو اسے اپنالو ، کیونکہ اللہ عزوجل پر کبھی جھوٹ نہیں بولوں گا ۔
