كتاب المناقب
Rapporté par Jabir ibn Samura رضي الله عنه : « Il y avait un peu de cheveux blancs sur le devant de la tête et dans la barbe du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Quand il mettait de l’huile, cela ne se voyait pas, mais quand il n’en mettait pas, c’était apparent. Il avait une barbe épaisse. Quelqu’un a dit : “Son visage était aussi brillant qu’une épée.” Il (Jabir) a répondu : “Non, il était rond, comme le soleil et la lune.” J’ai vu le sceau près de son épaule, de la taille d’un œuf de pigeon et de la même couleur que sa peau. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ شَمِطَ مُقَدَّمُ رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ وَكَانَ إِذَا ادَّهَنَ لَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ وَإِذَا شَعِثَ رَأْسُهُ تَبَيَّنَ وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ شَعْرِ اللِّحْيَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَجْهُهُ مِثْلُ السَّيْفِ قَالَ لاَ بَلْ كَانَ مِثْلَ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ وَكَانَ مُسْتَدِيرًا وَرَأَيْتُ الْخَاتَمَ عِنْدَ كَتِفِهِ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ يُشْبِهُ جَسَدَهُ .
Traduction anglaise
Jabir b. Samura reported that there had appeared some whiteness on the front part of the head and beard of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). When he applied oil, it did not become visible, but when he did not (apply) oil, it became apparent. And he had a thick beard. A person said:His face was as (bright) as the sword. Thereupon he (Jabir) said: No, it was round and like the sun and the moon. And I saw the seal near his shoulder of the size of a pigeon's egg and its color was the same as that of his body

اسرائیل نے سماک سے روایت کی کہ انھوں نے حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سر اور ڈاڑھی کا آگے کا حصہ سفید ہو گیا تھا جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تیل ڈالتے تو سفیدی معلوم نہ ہوتی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ڈاڑھی بہت گھنی تھی ۔ ایک شخص بولا کہ کیا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ مبارک تلوار کی طرح یعنی لمبا تھا؟ سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ نہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ مبارک سورج اور چاند کی طرح اور گول تھا اور میں نے نبوت کی مہر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کندھے پر دیکھی جیسے کبوتر کا انڈا ہوتا ہے اور اس کا رنگ جسم کے رنگ سے ملتا تھا ۔
