Rapporté par Jabir : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Mon exemple et celui des Prophètes ressemble à un homme qui a construit une maison, l’a achevée et rendue parfaite, sauf l’espace d’une brique. Les gens y entrent, sont étonnés et disent : “S’il y avait une brique, ce serait complet à tous égards.” Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “Je suis cet endroit où la brique doit être placée, et je viens finaliser la chaîne des Prophètes.” »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ، بْنُ مِينَاءَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى دَارًا فَأَتَمَّهَا وَأَكْمَلَهَا إِلاَّ مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلاَ مَوْضِعُ اللَّبِنَةِ " . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَأَنَا مَوْضِعُ اللَّبِنَةِ جِئْتُ فَخَتَمْتُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:The similitude of mine and that of the Apostles is like that of a person who built a house and he completed it and made it perfect but for the space of a brick. People entered therein and they were surprised at it and said: Had there been a brick (it would have been complete in all respects). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I am that place where the brick (completing the building is to be placed), and I have come to finalise the chain of Apostles

عفان نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں سلیم بن حیان نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں سعید بن میناء نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ، انھوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا؛ " میری اور ( مجھ سے پہلے ) انبیاء علیہ السلام کی مثال اس شخص کی طرح ہے جس نے ایک گھر بنایا اور ایک اینٹ کی جگہ کے سوا اس ( سارے گھر ) کو پورا کردیا اور اچھی طرح مکمل کردیا ۔ لوگ اس میں داخل ہوتے ، اس ( کی خوبصورتی ) پر حیران ہوتے اور کہتے : کاش!اس اینٹ کی جگہ ( خالی ) نہ ہوتی! " رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اس اینٹ کی جگہ ( کو پرکرنے والا ) میں ہوں ، میں آیا تو انبیاء علیہ السلام کے سلسلے کو مکمل کردیا ۔
