Hadith 1046 — Livre 4: The Book of Prayers
كتاب الصلاة
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : L’Envoyé d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Quand l’un d’entre vous dirige la prière, il doit la faire courte, car parmi eux il y a des jeunes, des personnes âgées, des faibles et des malades. Mais quand l’un d’entre vous prie seul, il peut la prolonger autant qu’il veut. »

Texte arabe original
وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِزَامِيُّ - عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا أَمَّ أَحَدُكُمُ النَّاسَ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الصَّغِيرَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالْمَرِيضَ فَإِذَا صَلَّى وَحْدَهُ فَلْيُصَلِّ كَيْفَ شَاءَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Huraira reported:The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: When any one of you leads the people in prayer, he should be brief for among them are the young and the aged, the weak and the sick. But when one of you prays by himself, he may (prolong) as he likes
Traduction en ourdou
اعرج نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرمﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’جب تم میں سے کوئی فرد لوگوں کی امامت کرائے تو وہ ہلکی نماز پڑھائے کیونکہ ان ( نمازیوں ) میں بچے ، بوڑھے ، کمزور اور بیمار بھی ہوتے ہیں اور جب اکیلا پڑھے تو جیسے چاہے پڑھے ۔ ‘ ‘
