Rapporté par Suhail, selon la même chaîne de transmetteurs mais avec une légère variation dans les mots : Dans le hadith transmis par Waki', il est dit : « Quand vous rencontrez les Juifs. » Dans celui transmis par Shu'ba : « Quand vous rencontrez les Gens du Livre. » Et dans celui transmis par Jarir : « Quand vous les rencontrez. » Aucun polythéiste n’est explicitement mentionné par son nom

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ، بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَفِي حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ " إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْيَهُودَ " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ فِي أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ . وَفِي حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ " إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ " . وَلَمْ يُسَمِّ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ .
Traduction anglaise
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Suhail with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording. The hadith transmitted on the authority of Waki', the words are 'When you meet the Jews." And in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Shu'ba, the words are:'When you meet the People of the Book." And in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Jarir the words are:" When you meet them," but none amongst the polytheists has been mentioned explicitly by name

محمد بن مثنیٰ نے کہا : ہمیں محمد بن جعفر نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے حدیث بیان کی ۔ ابو بکر بن ابی شیبہ اور ابو کریب نے کہا : ہمیں وکیع نے سفیان سے حدیث بیان کی ، زہیر بن حرب نے کہا : ہمیں جریر نے حدیث بیان کی ، ان سب ( شعبہ سفیان اور جریر ) نے سہیل سے اسی سند کے ساتھ حدیث بیان کی ۔ وکیع کی حدیث میں ہے ، " جب تم یہود سے ملو ۔ " شعبہ سے ابن جعفر کی روایت کردہ حدیث میں ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اہل کتاب کے بارے میں فر ما یا ۔ اور جریر کی روایت میں ہے : " جب تم ان لوگوں سے ملو ، " اور مشرکوں میں سے کسی ایک ( گروہ ) کا نام نہیں لیا ۔
