Hadith 5563 — Livre 37: The Book of Clothes and Adornment
كتاب اللباس والزينة
Rapporté par Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Évitez de vous asseoir sur les chemins. » Ses compagnons dirent : « Ô Messager d’Allah, nous n’avons pas d’autre choix car c’est là que nous nous réunissons et discutons. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ répondit : « Si vous devez absolument vous asseoir, alors respectez les droits du chemin. » Ils demandèrent : « Quels sont ces droits ? » Il répondit : « Baisser le regard (pour ne pas fixer les femmes), ne pas causer de tort aux autres, échanger les salutations (dire as-Salamu ‘Alaikum les uns aux autres), ordonner le bien et interdire le mal. »

حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ، بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْجُلُوسَ فِي الطُّرُقَاتِ " . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا لَنَا بُدٌّ مِنْ مَجَالِسِنَا نَتَحَدَّثُ فِيهَا . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَإِذَا أَبَيْتُمْ إِلاَّ الْمَجْلِسَ فَأَعْطُوا الطَّرِيقَ حَقَّهُ " . قَالُوا وَمَا حَقُّهُ قَالَ " غَضُّ الْبَصَرِ وَكَفُّ الأَذَى وَرَدُّ السَّلاَمِ وَالأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْىُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying:Avoid sitting on the paths. They (his Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, there is no other help to it (but to sit there as we) hold our meetings and discuss matters there. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: If you have to sit at all, then fulfil the rights, of the path. They said: What are their rights? Thereupon he said: Keeping the eye downward (so that you may not stare at the women), refraining from doing some harm to the other and exchanging mutual greetings (saying as-Salamu 'Alaikum to one another) and commanding the good and forbidding the evil

حفص بن میسرہ نے زید بن اسلم سے ، انھوں نے عطاء بن یسار سے ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ، انھوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ، کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " راستوں میں بیٹھنے سے بچو ۔ " لوگوں نے عرض کی : اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !ہمارے لیے اپنی مجلسوں میں بیٹھے بغیر چارہ نہیں وہی ہم ایک دوسرے سے گفتگو کرتے ہیں ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " اگر تم بیٹھے بغیر نہیں رہ سکتے تو راستے کا ( جہاں مجلس ہے ) حق ادا کرو ۔ " لوگوں نے پو چھا : راستے کا حق کیا ہے ؟ آپ نے فر ما یا : " نگا ہیں جھکا کر رکھنا ( چلنے والوں کے لیے ) تکلیف کا سبب بننے والی چیزوں کو ہٹانا سلام کا جواب دینا ، اچھی بات کا حکم دینا اور برا ئی سے روکنا ۔
