Hadith 5355 — Livre 36: The Book of Drinks
كتاب الأشربة
Rapporté par Jabir b. Abdullah : Alors que j’étais assis chez moi, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est passé devant moi. Il m’a fait signe, je me suis levé et il m’a pris la main jusqu’à l’une des pièces de ses épouses. Il est entré et m’a invité à entrer aussi. Il y avait un rideau suspendu à côté d’elle. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Y a-t-il à manger ? » Les membres de la maison ont répondu : « Oui. » On a alors apporté trois pains et on les a posés dans un panier en feuilles de palmier. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a pris un pain et l’a mis devant lui, puis un autre qu’il a mis devant moi. Il a ensuite pris le troisième, l’a coupé en deux, a gardé une moitié devant lui et l’autre devant moi, puis il a dit : « Y a-t-il un condiment ? » Ils ont répondu : « Nous n’avons que du vinaigre. » Il a dit : « Apportez-le, car le vinaigre est un bon condiment. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَبِي، زَيْنَبَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سُفْيَانَ، طَلْحَةُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا فِي دَارِي فَمَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَشَارَ إِلَىَّ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَانْطَلَقْنَا حَتَّى أَتَى بَعْضَ حُجَرِ نِسَائِهِ فَدَخَلَ ثُمَّ أَذِنَ لِي فَدَخَلْتُ الْحِجَابَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ " هَلْ مِنْ غَدَاءٍ " . فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ . فَأُتِيَ بِثَلاَثَةِ أَقْرِصَةٍ فَوُضِعْنَ عَلَى نَبِيٍّ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قُرْصًا فَوَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَخَذَ قُرْصًا آخَرَ فَوَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الثَّالِثَ فَكَسَرَهُ بِاثْنَيْنِ فَجَعَلَ نِصْفَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَنِصْفَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ " هَلْ مِنْ أُدُمٍ " . قَالُوا لاَ . إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ مِنْ خَلٍّ . قَالَ " هَاتُوهُ فَنِعْمَ الأُدُمُ هُوَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported:While I was sitting in my house there happened to pass by me Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He made a gesture to me and I stood up for him. He took hold of my hand until we came to one of the apartments of his wives. He entered and then asked me to get in. So I entered and there was hanging a curtain beside her. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Is there any food (with you)? They (the members of the household) said: Yes And then there were brought three loaves of bread for him (the Holy Prophet) and placed in the basket of palm leaves. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) picked up one loaf and placed that before him, and then picked up another one and placed it before me. He then picked up the third one and broke it into two parts, and kept the one-half before him and the other half before me, and then said: Is there any condiment? They (the members of the household) said: There is nothing (in the form of condiment) but some vinegar only. He said: Bring that, for vinegar is a good condiment

حجاج بن ابی زینب نے کہا : مجھے ابو سفیان طلحہ بن نافع نے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت جا بر بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، کہا : میں کسی گھر میں بیٹھا ہوا تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گزر میرے پاس سے ہوا ، آپ نے میری طرف اشارہ کیا میں اٹھ کر آپ کے پاس آیا آپ نے میرا ہا تھ پکڑا اور چل پرے حتیٰ کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ازواج مطہرات رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے حجروں میں سے کسی کےحجرے پر آئے اور اندر داخل ہو گئےپھر مجھے بھی آنے کی اجازت دی میں ( حجرہ انورمیں ) ان کے حجاب کے عالم میں داخل ہوا آپ نے فرما یا : " کچھ کھا نے کو ہے؟ " گھر والوں نے کہا : ہے اور تین روٹیاں لا ئی گئیں اور ان کو ایک اونی رومال ( دستراخوان ) پر رکھ دیا گیا ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک روٹی اپنے سامنے رکھی اور ایک روٹی میرے سامنے رکھی پھر آپ نے تیسری کے دوٹکڑے کیے ، آدھی اپنے سامنے رکھی اور آدھی میرے سامنے رکھی پھر آپ نے پو چھا : " کو ئی سالن بھی ہے؟ " گھر والوں نے کہا : تھوڑا سا سرکہ ہے اس کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا : " لے آؤ سرکہ کیا خوب سالن ہے
