Hadith 5041 — Livre 34: The Book of Hunting, Slaughter, and what may be Eaten
كتاب الصيد والذبائح
Rapporté par Abu Zubair : Il a entendu Jabir b. 'Abdullah dire qu’on a présenté au Messager d’Allah ﷺ de la viande de lézard, mais il a refusé d’en manger, en disant : « Je ne sais pas ; peut-être que ce lézard fait partie de ces peuples anciens dont la forme a été transformée. »

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ، جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِضَبٍّ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ وَقَالَ " لاَ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ الَّتِي مُسِخَتْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Zubair reported that he heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah saying that there was presented to Allah's Messenger (the flesh) of the lizard, but he refused to eat that, saying:I do not know; perhaps it (lizard) might (be one of those natives of) the distant past whose (forms) had beer, distorted
Traduction en ourdou
ابو زبیر نے حضرت جا بت بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو کہتے ہو ئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سانڈ الا یا گیا ۔ آپ نے اسے کھا نے سے انکا ر کیا اور فرما یا : " میں نہیں جا نتا کہ شاید یہ ( سانڈا بھی ) ان قوموں میں سے ہو جن میں مسخ ہوا تھا ۔
