Rapporté par 'Ubida, qui a appris cette tradition de son père, qui la tenait lui-même de son père : Le grand-père d’Ubada a dit : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a pris de nous le serment d’écouter et d’obéir à notre chef dans la difficulté comme dans la facilité, dans la satisfaction comme dans le mécontentement, même si quelqu’un d’autre est préféré à nous ; de ne pas contester la décision de confier une responsabilité à une personne jugée digne par celui qui la délègue ; et de dire la vérité, quelle que soit notre situation, sans craindre le blâme de quiconque concernant Allah

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ وَعَلَى أَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى أَنْ لاَ نُنَازِعَ الأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَعَلَى أَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ أَيْنَمَا كُنَّا لاَ نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لاَئِمٍ .
Traduction anglaise
It has been narrated on the authority of" Ubida who learnt the tradition from his father who, in turn, learnt it from his own father. 'Ubada's grandfather said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took an oath of allegiance from us on our listening to and obeying the orders of our commander in adversity and prosperity, in pleasure and displeasure (and even) when somebody is given preference over us, on our avoiding to dispute the delegation of powers to a person deemed to be a fit recipient thereof (in the eye of one who delegates it) and on our telling the truth in whatever position we be without fearing in the matter ef Allah the reproach of the reproacher

ہمیں ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں عبداللہ بن ادریس نے یحییٰ بن سعید اور عبیداللہ بن عمر سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے عبادہ بن ولید سے ، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے ، انہوں نے ان کے دادا سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ اس بات پر بیعت کی کہ مشکل میں اور آسانی میں اور خوشی میں اور ناخوشی میں اور خود ترجیح دیے جانے کی صورت میں بھی سنیں گے اور اطاعت کریں گے اور اس بات پر بیعت کی کہ جن کے پاس امارت ہو گی ، امارت کے معاملے میں ان سے تنازع نہیں کریں گے اور ہم جہاں کہیں بھی ہوں گے ( ہمیشہ ) حق نہیں گے اور اللہ کے ( دین پر چلنے کے ) معاملے میں کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت سے نہیں ڈریں گے
