Hadith 4731 — Livre 33: The Book on Government
كتاب الإمارة
Rapporté par Abu Malik : Ubaidullah ibn Ziyad est venu rendre visite à Ma'qil ibn Yaser alors que ce dernier était malade. Ma'qil lui a dit : « Je vais te transmettre un hadith. Si je n’étais pas sur le point de mourir, je ne te l’aurais pas raconté. J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Un dirigeant qui, après avoir obtenu le pouvoir sur les affaires des musulmans, ne cherche pas à améliorer leur situation et ne les sert pas sincèrement, n’entrera pas au Paradis avec eux.” »

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، أَنَّإِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ بِحَدِيثٍ لَوْلاَ أَنِّي فِي الْمَوْتِ لَمْ أُحَدِّثْكَ بِهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " مَا مِنْ أَمِيرٍ يَلِي أَمْرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْهَدُ لَهُمْ وَيَنْصَحُ إِلاَّ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ مَعَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Malik that Ubaidullah b. Ziyad visited Ma'qil b. Yaser in the latter's illness. Ma'qil said to him:I am narrating to you a tradition. If I were not at death's door, I would not narrate it to you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) say: A ruler who, having obtained control over the affairs of the Muslims, does not strive for their betterment and does not serve them sincerely shall not enter Paradise with them
Traduction en ourdou
ابو ملیح سے روایت ہے کہ عبیداللہ بن زیاد ، حضرت معقل بن یسار رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیماری میں ان کے پاس گیا ، حضرت معقل رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : میں تم کو ایک حدیث بیان کرنے لگا ہوں اور اگر میں مرض الموت میں نہ ہوتا تو تمہیں یہ حدیث نہ سناتا ، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے : " کوئی امیر نہیں جو مسلمانوں کے امور کا ذمہ دار ہو ، پھر ان کے لیے جدوجہد اور خیرخواہی نہ کرے ، مگر وہ ان کے ساتھ جنت میں داخل نہیں ہو گا
