Hadith 4715 — Livre 33: The Book on Government
كتاب الإمارة
Rapporté par ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Samura : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a dit : « ‘Abd al-Rahman, ne demande pas à avoir une position d’autorité, car si tu l’obtiens parce que tu l’as demandée, tu seras laissé seul (sans l’aide d’Allah pour assumer tes responsabilités). Mais si tu l’obtiens sans l’avoir demandée, tu seras aidé (par Allah dans l’accomplissement de ta mission). »

حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، بْنُ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ لاَ تَسْأَلِ الإِمَارَةَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ أُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ غَيْرِ مَسْأَلَةٍ أُعِنْتَ عَلَيْهَا " .
Traduction anglaise
It has been reported on the authority of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Samura who said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'Abd al-Rahman, do not ask for a position of authority, for if you are granted this position as a result of your asking for it, you will be left alone (without God's help to discharge the responsibilities attendant thereon), and it you are granted it without making any request for it, you will be helped (by God in the discharge of your duties)
Traduction en ourdou
جریر بن حازم نے کہا : ہمیں حسن بصری نے اور انہیں عبدالرحمٰن بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا : " عبدالرحمٰن! امارت طلب نہ کرنا کیونکہ اگر تم کو طلب کرنے سے ( امارت ) ملی تو تم اس کے حوالے کر دئیے جاؤ گے ( اس کی تمام تر ذمہ داریاں خود اٹھاؤ گے ، اللہ کی مدد شامل نہ ہو گی ) اور اگر تمہیں مانگے بغیر ملی تو ( اللہ کی طرف سے ) تمہاری اعانت ہو گی
