كتاب الجهاد والسير
Rapporté par Sahl b. Sa'd رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est venu vers nous pendant que nous creusions la tranchée et portions la terre sur nos épaules. En voyant notre état, il a dit : « Ô Allah, il n’y a de vraie vie que celle de l’au-delà. Pardonne donc aux Mouhajiroun et aux Ansar. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ جَاءَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَنَحْنُ نَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ وَنَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ عَلَى أَكْتَافِنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اللَّهُمَّ لاَ عَيْشَ إِلاَّ عَيْشُ الآخِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنْصَارِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It has been reported on the authority of Sahl b. Sa'd who said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to us while we were digging the ditch and were carrying the earth on our shoulders. (Seeing our condition), he said: O God, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter. So forgive Thou the Muhajirs and the Ansar

حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے جبکہ ہم خندق کھود رہے تھے اور اپنے کندھوں پر مٹی اٹھا کر پھینک رہے تھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اے اللہ! زندگی تو صرف آخرت کی زندگی ہے ، اس لیے مہاجرین اور انصار کی مغفرت فرما
