Hadith 4313 — Livre 27: The Book of Oaths
كتاب الأيمان
Rapporté par Al-Ma'rur b. Suwaid : Nous sommes allés voir Abu Dharr (Ghifari) à Rabadha. Il portait un manteau et son esclave en avait un similaire. Nous lui avons dit : « Abu Dharr, si tu les avais assemblés, cela ferait un vêtement complet. » Il a répondu : « Un jour, j’ai eu une dispute avec l’un de mes frères dont la mère n’était pas arabe. Je l’ai insulté à cause de sa mère. Il s’est plaint au Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Quand j’ai rencontré le Messager d’Allah ﷺ, il m’a dit : “Abu Dharr, tu es encore influencé par l’ignorance d’avant l’Islam.” J’ai dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, quand quelqu’un insulte les autres, ils insultent aussi son père et sa mère.” Il a dit : “Abu Dharr, tu as encore des traces d’ignorance en toi. Vos serviteurs et esclaves sont vos frères. Allah les a placés sous votre responsabilité. Donnez-leur à manger ce que vous mangez, habillez-les comme vous vous habillez, et ne leur demandez pas plus qu’ils ne peuvent supporter. Si vous leur demandez trop, alors aidez-les.” »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، قَالَ مَرَرْنَا بِأَبِي ذَرٍّ بِالرَّبَذَةِ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ وَعَلَى غُلاَمِهِ مِثْلُهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ لَوْ جَمَعْتَ بَيْنَهُمَا كَانَتْ حُلَّةً . فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ إِخْوَانِي كَلاَمٌ وَكَانَتْ أَمُّهُ أَعْجَمِيَّةً فَعَيَّرْتُهُ بِأُمِّهِ فَشَكَانِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّكَ امْرُؤٌ فِيكَ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ " . قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ سَبَّ الرِّجَالَ سَبُّوا أَبَاهُ وَأُمُّهُ . قَالَ " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّكَ امْرُؤٌ فِيكَ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ هُمْ إِخْوَانُكُمْ جَعَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ تَحْتَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَأَطْعِمُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ وَأَلْبِسُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَلْبَسُونَ وَلاَ تُكَلِّفُوهُمْ مَا يَغْلِبُهُمْ فَإِنْ كَلَّفْتُمُوهُمْ فَأَعِينُوهُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Al-Ma'rur b. Suwaid said:We went to Abu Dharr (Ghifari) in Rabadha and he had a mantle over him, and his slave had one like it. We said: Abu Dharr, had you joined them together, it would have been a complete garment. Thereupon he said: There was an altercation between me and one of the persons among my brothers. His mother was a non-Arab. I reproached him for his mother. He complained against me to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ). As I met Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) he said: Abu Dharr, you are a person who still has (in him the remnants) of the days (of Ignorance). Thereupon I said: Allah's Messenger, he who abuses (other) persons, they abuse (in return) his father and mother. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Abu Dharr, you are a person who still has (the remnants) of Ignorance in him They (your servants and slaves) are your brothers. Allah has put them in your care, so feed them with what you eat, clothe them with what you wear. and do not burden them beyond their capacities; but if you burden them (with an unbearable burden), then help them (by sharing their extra burden)

وکیع نے کہا : ہمیں اعمش نے معرور بن سوید سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے کہا : ہم زَبذہ ( کے مقام ) میں حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کے ہاں سے گزرے ، ان ( کے جسم ) پر ایک چادر تھی اور ان کے غلام ( کے جسم ) پر بھی ویسی ہی چادر تھی ۔ تو ہم نے کہا : ابوذر! اگر آپ ان دونوں ( چادروں ) کو اکٹھا کر لیتے تو یہ ایک حلہ بن جاتا ۔ انہوں نے کہا : میرے اور میرے کسی ( مسلمان ) بھائی کے درمیان تلخ کلامی ہوئی ، اس کی ماں عجمی تھی ، میں نے اسے اس کی ماں کے حوالے سے عار دلائی تو اس نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس میری شکایت کر دی ، میں نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ملا تو آپ نے فرمایا : " ابوذر! تم ایسے آدمی ہو کہ تم میں جاہلیت ( کی عادت موجود ) ہے ۔ " میں نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول! جو دوسروں کو برا بھلا کہتا ہے وہ اس کے ماں اور باپ کو برا بھلا کہتے ہیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " ابوذر! تم ایسے آدمی ہو جس میں جاہلیت ہے ، وہ ( چاہے کنیز زادے ہوں یا غلام یا غلام زادے ) تمہارے بھائی ہیں ، اللہ نے انہیں تمہارے ماتحت کیا ہے ، تم انہیں وہی کھلاؤ جو خود کھاتے ہو اور وہی پہناؤ جو خود پہنتے ہو اور ان پر ایسے کام کی ذمہ داری نہ ڈالو جو ان کے بس سے باہر ہو ، اگر ان پر ( مشکل کام کی ) ذمہ داری ڈالو تو ان کی اعانت کرو
