Hadith 4227 — Livre 25: The Book of Wills
كتاب الوصية
Rapporté par Talha b. Musarrif : J’ai demandé à 'Abdullah b. Abu Aufa si le Messager d’Allah ﷺ avait laissé un testament concernant ses biens. Il a dit : « Non. » J’ai dit : « Alors pourquoi le testament est-il obligatoire pour les musulmans, ou pourquoi leur a-t-on ordonné de faire un testament ? » Il a répondu : « Il a fait le testament selon le Livre d’Allah, le Très-Haut et Majestueux. »

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى هَلْ أَوْصَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لاَ . قُلْتُ فَلِمَ كُتِبَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ الْوَصِيَّةُ أَوْ فَلِمَ أُمِرُوا بِالْوَصِيَّةِ قَالَ أَوْصَى بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
Traduction anglaise
Talha b. Musarrif reported:I asked 'Abdullah b. Abu Aufa whether Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had made any will (in regard to his property). He said: NO. I said: Then why has making of will been made necessary for the Muslims, or why were they commanded to make will? Thereupon he said: He made the will according to the Book of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic
Traduction en ourdou
عبدالرحمان بن مہدی نے ہمیں مالک بن مغول سے خبر دی اور انہوں نے طلحہ بن مصرف سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن ابی اوفیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا : کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وصیت کی؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا : نہیں ۔ میں نے پوچھا : تو مسلمانوں پر وصیت کرنا کیوں فرض کیا گیا ہے یا انہیں وصیت کا حکم کیوں دیا گیا ہے؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( ترکے کو تقسیم کرنے کی وصیت نہیں کی بلکہ ) اللہ تعالیٰ کی کتاب ( کو اپنانے ، عمل کرنے ) کی وصیت کی
