Hadith 3464 — Livre 16: The Book of Marriage
كتاب النكاح
Rapporté par ‘Uqba b. ‘Amir alors qu’il était sur le minbar : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Le croyant est le frère du croyant, il n’est donc pas permis à un croyant de surenchérir sur son frère, ni de faire une demande en mariage alors que son frère l’a déjà faite, tant que ce dernier n’y renonce pas. »

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ، وَغَيْرِهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ، أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شُمَاسَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمُؤْمِنُ أَخُو الْمُؤْمِنِ فَلاَ يَحِلُّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلاَ يَخْطُبَ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَذَرَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Uqba b. 'Amir said on the pulpit that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:A believer is the brother of a believer, so it is not lawful for a believer to outbid his brother, and he should not propose an engagement when his brother has thus proposed until he gives it up
Traduction en ourdou
عبدالرحمٰن بن شماسہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے منبر پر سے حضرت عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " مومن دوسرے مومن کا بھائی ہے ، کسی مومن کے لیے حلال نہیں کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کی بیع پر بیع کرے اور نہ اپنے بھائی کے پیغامِ نکاح پر نکاح کا پیغام بھیجے ، حتیٰ کہ وہ ( خود اسے ) چھوڑ دے
