Hadith 2743 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Amr رضي الله عنهما : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a dit : « Abdullah ibn Amr, on m’a rapporté que tu jeûnes tous les jours et que tu pries toute la nuit. Ne fais pas cela, car ton corps a des droits sur toi, tes yeux ont des droits sur toi, ta femme a des droits sur toi. Jeûne et arrête-toi aussi. Jeûne trois jours chaque mois, cela équivaut à un jeûne continu. » J’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, j’ai la force d’en faire plus. » Il a répondu : « Alors fais le jeûne de Dawud عليه السلام : jeûne un jour et arrête-toi le lendemain. » Et Abdullah ibn Amr disait : « Si seulement j’avais profité de cette facilité. »

وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ، - قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، - حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ تَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَتَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ فَلاَ تَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ لِجَسَدِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَظًّا وَلِعَيْنِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَظًّا وَإِنَّ لِزَوْجِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَظًّا صُمْ وَأَفْطِرْ صُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَذَلِكَ صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ " . قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ بِي قُوَّةً . قَالَ " فَصُمْ صَوْمَ دَاوُدَ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ - صُمْ يَوْمًا وَأَفْطِرْ يَوْمًا " . فَكَانَ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي أَخَذْتُ بِالرُّخْصَةِ .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah b. 'Amr (Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me! 'Abdullah b. 'Amr, it has been conveyed to me that you observe fast during the day and stand in prayer during the whole night. Don't do that, for your body has a share of its own in you, your eye has a share of its own in you, your wife has a share of her own in you. Observe fast and break it too. Fast for three days in every month and that is a prepetual fasting. I said! Messenger of Allah, I have got strength enough (to do more than this), whereupon he said:Then observe the fast of David (peace be upon him). Observe fast one day and break it (on the other) day. And he ('Abdullah b. 'Amr) used to say: Would that I had availed myself of this concession
Traduction en ourdou
سعید بن میناء نے ہمیں حدیث سنائی ، کہا : عبداللہ بن عمرو عاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا : "" اے عبداللہ بن عمرو! مجھے خبر ملی ہے کہ تم ( روزانہ ) دن کاروزہ رکھتے ہو اور رات بھر قیام کرتے ہو ، ایسا مت کرو کیونکہ تم پرتمھارے جسم کا حصہ ( ادا کرناضروری ) ہے ، تم پر تمھاری آنکھ کا حصہ ( ادا کرنا ضروری ہے ) تم پر تمھاری بیوی کا حصہ ( ادا کرنا ضروری ہے ) روزے رکھو اور ترک بھی کرو ، ہر مہینے میں سے تین دن کے روزے رکھ لیا کرو ۔ یہ سارے وقت کے روزوں ( کے برابر ) ہیں ۔ "" میں نے عرض کی : اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم !میرے اندر ( زیادہ روزے رکھنے کی ) قوت ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" تم داود علیہ السلام کے روزے کی طرح ( روزے ) رکھو ، وہ ایک دن روزہ رکھتے تھے اور ایک دن چھوڑ دیتے تھے ۔ "" وہ کہا کرتے تھے : کاش! میں نے رخصت کو قبول کیا ہوتا ۔
