Hadith 2726 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Uthman ibn Hakim al-Ansari : J’ai demandé à Sa’id ibn Jubair au sujet du jeûne pendant le mois de Rajab, et nous étions justement en train de traverser ce mois. Il a répondu : « J’ai entendu Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما dire : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ jeûnait parfois de façon si continue que nous pensions qu’il n’allait jamais arrêter, et parfois il ne jeûnait pas au point que nous pensions qu’il n’allait plus jeûner. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ صَوْمِ، رَجَبٍ - وَنَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي رَجَبٍ - فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لاَ يُفْطِرُ . وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لاَ يَصُومُ .
Traduction anglaise
Uthman b. Hakim al-Ansari said:I asked Sa'id b. Jubair about fasting In Rajab, and we were then passing through the month of Rajab, whereupon he said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with both of them) as saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to observe fast (so continuously) that we (were inclined) to say that he would not break (them) and did not observe them so conti- nuously) that we (were inclined to say) that he would not observe fast
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن نمیر نے کہا : ہمیں عثمان بن حکیم نے حدیث سنائی ، کہا : میں نے سعید بن جبیر سے رجب میں روزہ رکھنے کے بارے میں سوال کیا ، اور ہم ان دنوں رجب میں ہی تھے ، تو انھوں نے کہا : میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے رکھتے حتیٰ کہ ہم کہتے : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے ترک نہیں کریں گے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے ترک کرتے حتیٰ کہ ہم کہتے : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے نہیں رکھیں گے ۔
