Hadith 2662 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
On demanda à Ibn Abbas à propos du jeûne du jour de ‘Ashura. Il répondit : « Je ne connais pas de jour que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ ait choisi pour le jeûne ou considéré meilleur qu’un autre, sauf ce jour-là (le jour de ‘Ashura) et ce mois-ci, c’est-à-dire le mois de Ramadan. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، - قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، - عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، - رضى الله عنهما - وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صِيَامِ، يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ . فَقَالَ مَا عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَامَ يَوْمًا يَطْلُبُ فَضْلَهُ عَلَى الأَيَّامِ إِلاَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ وَلاَ شَهْرًا إِلاَّ هَذَا الشَّهْرَ يَعْنِي رَمَضَانَ .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn Abbas was asked about observing of fast on the day of Ashura, whereupon he said:I do not know Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) singling out any day's fast and considering it more excellent than another, except this day (the day of Ashura) and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan
Traduction en ourdou
ابو بکر ابن شیبہ ، عمروناقد ، سفیان ، ابو بکر ، ابن عینیہ ، عبیداللہ ابن ابی یزید ، حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے عاشورہ کے دن کے روزوں کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو ا نہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس عاشورہ کے دن کے علاوہ کسی اور دن کی وجہ سے روزہ رکھا ہو اور نہ کسی مہینے میں سوائے اس مہینے یعنی رمضان کے ۔
