Hadith 2533 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par ‘Adi ibn Hatim رضي الله عنه : Lorsque ce verset a été révélé : « Jusqu’à ce que le fil blanc de l’aube soit distinct du fil noir » (2 :187), ‘Adi ibn Hatim a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je mets sous mon oreiller deux ficelles, l’une blanche et l’autre noire, pour distinguer la nuit de l’aube. » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a répondu : « Ton oreiller semble bien grand ! Le mot “fil” désigne en réalité la noirceur de la nuit et la blancheur de l’aube. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ { حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ} قَالَ لَهُ عَدِيُّ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَجْعَلُ تَحْتَ وِسَادَتِي عِقَالَيْنِ عِقَالاً أَبْيَضَ وَعِقَالاً أَسْوَدَ أَعْرِفُ اللَّيْلَ مِنَ النَّهَارِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ وِسَادَتَكَ لَعَرِيضٌ إِنَّمَا هُوَ سَوَادُ اللَّيْلِ وَبَيَاضُ النَّهَارِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Adi b. Hatim (Allah be pleased with him) reported that when (this verse) was revealed:" Until the white streak of the dawn becomes distinct from the dark streak" (ii. 187) Adi b. Hatim said: Messenger of Allah, verily I keep underneath my pillow two strings, one white and the other black, by which I distinguish night from dawn. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Your pillow seems to be very large. For the word khait implies the blackness of the night and the whiteness of the dawn
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ جب آیت حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ نازل ہوئی ۔ تو حضرت عدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے آپ سے عرض کیا اے اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اپنے تکیے کے نیچے سفید اور سیاہ رنگ کے دو دھاگے رکھ لئے ہیں ۔ جن کی وجہ سے میں رات اور دن میں امتیاز کرلیتا ہوں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تمہارا تکیہ بہت چوڑا ہے کہ جس میں رات اور دن سماگئے ہیں ۔ وہ ( د ھاگا ) تو رات کی سیاہی اور دن کی روشنی ہے ۔
