Hadith 2510 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Ibn Umar (qu’Allah les agrée tous les deux) : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Le mois (de Ramadan) peut avoir vingt-neuf jours. » Shu’ba (un des rapporteurs) a montré comment le Prophète ﷺ l’a expliqué en ouvrant ses mains trois fois et en repliant son pouce la troisième fois. Uqba (un autre rapporteur de cette chaîne) a dit : « Je pense qu’il a dit que le mois compte trente jours et a ouvert sa paume trois fois. »

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُرَيْثٍ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنهما - يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ " . وَطَبَّقَ شُعْبَةُ يَدَيْهِ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ وَكَسَرَ الإِبْهَامَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ . قَالَ عُقْبَةُ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ " الشَّهْرُ ثَلاَثُونَ " وَطَبَّقَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:The month (of Ramadan) may consist of twenty nine days, and Shu'ba (one of the narrators) (gave a practical demonstration how the Holy prophet (ﷺ) explained to them) by unfolding his hands thrice and folding his thumb at the third turn. 'Uqba (one of the narrators in this chain of transmitters) said: I think that he said that the month consists of thirty days and unfolded his palm three times
Traduction en ourdou
شعبہ نے ہمیں عقبہ بن حریث سے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، کہہ رہے تھے : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" مہینہ انتیس کاہوتاہے ۔ "" شعبہ نے تین بار دونوں ہاتھوں کو ( دکھا کر ) ایک دوسرے سے جوڑا اور تیسری بار انگوٹھا کم کرلیا ۔ عقبہ نے کہا : میراخیال ہے ( پھر ) انھوں ( ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) نے کہا : "" مہینہ تیس کاہوتا ہے "" اور ( ایک دفعہ ) اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیاں تین بار ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ جوڑیں ۔
