Hadith 2504 — Livre 13: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Umar (qu’Allah les agrée tous les deux) : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Quand vous voyez le croissant de lune, commencez le jeûne, et quand vous le voyez (à nouveau), rompez-le. Et si le ciel est couvert pour vous, alors estimez-le. »

حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنهما - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَصُومُوا وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَأَفْطِرُوا فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدِرُوا لَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah b. Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Measenger (ﷺ) as saying:When you see the new moon, observe fast, and when you see it (again) then break it, and if the sky is cloudy for you, then calculate it

سالم بن عبداللہ نے حدیث بیان کی کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کوفرماتے ہوئےسنا : " جب اس ( چاند ) کو دیکھ لو تو روزہ رکھو اورجب اسے دیکھ لوتو روزے ختم کرو اوراگر بادل چھا جائیں تو اس ( مہینے ) کی گنتی پوری کرلو ۔
